First off, I'm disappointed that this is not available in black anymore (as it was in the past) but the quality of the material is excellent.This is the second trailer hitch cover I have ordered from this seller. The first one was perfect (and black)However, quality control is lacking this time. Three of the four mounting holes were not drilled deep enough and I needed to manufacture a spacing plate so the Chevy logo would not rattle when mounted. Also, some yellow paint in the insert bleed over onto the brushed aluminum frame. Looks OK from a distance, but had I seen this one before I bought it, I would have passed on it.

For the price, I though it was a good deal. Less than one year, the (Bow Tie) in the cover is fogging up had to see. Should have payed the extra for a metal one.

Don't mistake this for one of those heavy bowtie hitch covers you might have seen on other trucks. First, it is a bit smaller and second, it is VERY light. Feels like aluminum. What you see in the picture is just the front... the backside is basically hollowed out with an area in the center for mounting the L-brackets. I don't expect it to last very long. Also be VERY careful, the edges are VERY SHARP. I nicked my finger a bit just getting it out of the packaging. Note also that this one requires assembly... you have to mount the L-shaped brackets on the back. There are two pairs, one for a small hitch and one for the larger 2". If fits perfectly in my receiver, but there is no rubber cushioning to keep it from rattling in there. As I said, I don't expect this thing to last very long. For the price, it will do until I feel like shelling out bigger bucks on the nicer, heavy duty bowtie. It does look decent with the "brushed" look around the bowtie. The black in the middle (looks painted) is not perfect, but hard to tell from a distance. I guess it's ok though, it is not expensive at all and does look good on my truck. I just wish it would have been bigger, a bit heavier, and had some cushion to make it fit snug (not rattle loosely).

A very well built product for the price. Easy to assemble. With multiple depth settings you can push the plug as deep as you like to prevent catching your legs when walking by. Good deal.
