I've owned a number of water filters through the years and this Platypus Quickdraw is a nice improvement over previous filters I've owned. I like the caps that it comes with that allow me to toss it into my backpack and not worry about water leaking. I just hope that it lasts longer. I'm going to try to keep it clean by back flushing it often and be sure that it is completely dry before storing so that when I need it for the next trip, it still flows water through nicely.

Perfect companion to my Platy hydration bladder. Dirty side inside-outside thread option to filter from different H2O containers is a big plus. Convenient drink side flip-top cap. Quality materials & smart design, only 2.2 oz, backflushable, and USA made! Highly recommened.

This was not anywhere near the squeezed 3L claimed flow rate. It was 1L at best with clean tap water, but I took it on the Longs Peak anyway. I shouldn't have. The high altitude water was visibility clear, but I wore out my hands and forearms trying to push water through this filter while the rest of my group rested creekside drinking their water filtered by other devices.
