Let me state that I have not given this to my 2 year old grandson yet, as it is a Christmas gift. I'll try to remember to update the review after I do. However, my husband and I did take it out of the box, put it on the counter, and test it with our hands. We did not want to get dog fur on it from the floor or subject it to our larger-than-children sizes. Anyway, the keyboard was super-cute, easy to unpack and pack back up in the box, and worked perfectly. We checked all of the keys, all of the various instruments, the volume control, and the record and playback functions. All worked great. Some have said that the piano doesn't have great sound ... it doesn't sound like a Steinway baby grand, but it does have clear piano-sounding notes. The sounds for the horn, guitar, and other instrument settings are also reminiscent of the real instrument. If you're looking for an orchestral sound, you aren't going to get it. If you are looking for a well-made toy that has good sound on which a child could play tunes, this will be a great fit. Oh, and it was able to play multiple keys at once, so two children could play together. As for long-term durability, I'll have to let you know. So far, super happy!

My almost 3 yr old daughter love this item. My 11, 17, 23, 34 and 60 yrs old relatives love this item too. Its very entertaining and will keep you up on your feet! (literally.....lol) The only thing I would change is that the volume does not save when you first turn it on. So if you turn it off and then on, the amount of volume is too much and when kids do not realize how loud it gets it could be a bit of an annoyance. However, you can manually lower the volume as desired. Also, the dash-box that omits the volume and other music sounds, its very gentle. I feel as if it hits something, it will not work properly. I have rugs at home so I feel that the piece will last more than if anyone who has hard floors. (Maybe PRODUCTION should add a piece of rubber like material underneath the dash-box so when it hits the floor the piece would not crash/get damaged) Other than that, we are very please with the product. You won't regret it and for the price it is a good piece. The rest of the material look strong.

I purchased this as a BD present for my nephew's 2 yo son, they live in Seattle so I had it sent directly to them. They also have 4 yo twins (boy & girl) and an 11 yo boy. My nephew called me to tell me they had received it as indicated and he had just opened it and the kids were having a lot of fun on it. I could hear them laughing in the background running across the keys and the music was loud. I did let him know about some of the reviews on how the music is really loud when you first turn it on so he was thrilled to be able to lower the volume. He said he would email me a video of the kids playing on it, but I never got it. Either way he said they really liked it, it worked great and that it was a perfect gift for all his kids.

I got chocked by touching the screw of the battery trap.This should not happen.It s a fun toy tho, I wish the mat was more thick on the key side.

We recently purchased the Keyboard Playmat 71" - 24 Keys Piano Play Mat for our 1 year old Grand Nephew for Christmas. Our niece says that it is the one toy he now pulls out to play with the most!! Not only is this toy loads and loads of fun, but it is really good for him as well. Musically trained children seem to have better verbal and mathematical skills and higher scores on tests of working memory, cognitive flexibility, and IQ. It's never to early to start appreciating music OR math! We compared several other Keyboard offered on Amazon. This one has many excellent features not offered by other similar products.

Bought the musical mat as a Xmas present for my 5-year old grandson. Turned out to be amusing for adults as well as children. It is easy to install, easy to carry, the sound is great and it livened up our family reunion. Everyone wanted to try their luck at it. I am absolutely delighted with my purchase and highly recommend it.
