The "L" bracket can be carefully bent so it is in line with the arm if you want to mount the light flat on top of a bookcase or shelf instead of wall mounted. The lights claim to be "3000K Warm White" but they are yellower, more like 2700K.

Excellent for the price. I attached them to my wall of bookshelves and they look beautiful as well as functional. I also purchased a remote dimmer so I can turn them on and off with out climbing up the ladder and I can have them turned up all the way for reading or down low for ambiance in the room.

Nothing came with the light, like instructions or screws. There is an led type light with a simple white cord that has an inline on/off switch. The arm is attached to a mounting bracket that has two large holes for screws, probably bigger than is necessary for the light weight of the light. The lamp is attached to the arm with a swivel joint allowing you to bend the lamp down slightly. If you don’t adjust the lamp down slightly, then the light will shine in your face. There are three large decals on the back of the light which becomes very visible when you bend the light down, but they can be removed. Also, the joint is so hard to bend, that you may assume that it doesn’t bend. Lastly, the shine of the light itself doesn’t evenly cover the entire painting, most of the light is at the top. It would have nice if the cord was thinner and if could be controlled with a remote.

The first picture light we purchased didn’t turn out so well as you couldn’t adjust the angle of the light. We then found this one and it’s great. Well made, and the angle of the light is adjustable and also has variable power settings for light intensity. We like the rechargeable battery and get up to six hours on a charge. Plus the unit can be charged while the light is on. The remote is also very handy.

for the price, it was alot nice than i thought it'd be honestly. easy to install. &i was able to hide the cord dwn the curtain. only negative about it,is its pretty bright. wish it dimmed. but some might need/want it to be bright. somewhere in between a 40+60watt light bulb. i was looking for more of an accent light. &its a wall to wall dark room, so.. it's def pretty "bright". &I'm going to connect it to a plug with a remote switch because the clicking on/off switch on the cord isn't very convenient. but, others might be ok with that. but for less of a cost than a trip to McDonalds... this is good!

When buying a product online you rely on the manufacturer’s truth of product description. I was looking to purchase a “Soft White Light†picture frame light. The product arrived and was anything but “Soft White Lightâ€. The light produced by this product is a harsh almost LED neon white light. This lighting would not enhance any type of picture. It’s down right ugly! Reminds you of the type of lighting inside your refrigerator! Now I have to go thru the trouble of returning it. Total incompetence on the company’s part. Incredibly frustrating. Don’t buy!!!

I truly would have loved to give this item a good review. The construction quality seems good, the light is bright, and the contemporary design is appealing. My issue with this product was with the width of the light diffuser.....If only the slit that emits light could have been narrower. In its current design, the light is cast onto the artwork but also into the room and the eyes of the viewer. You can adjust the fixture to shine more downward... But then the back of the fixture casts light onto the wall above the art. In my opinion, the best picture lights are still the ones where the bulb or the light source is hidden up into the metal portion of the fixture... And therefore casts light only on the artwork and nowhere else.
