Note: This dock will not charge your laptop and will need your external charger to provide power to your system. Due to limited USB 3.0 bandwidth and reduced hardware graphics acceleration of the DisplayLink software and hardware used in this docking station we do not recommend it for use with full screen video playback, 2D or 3D graphics applications, or video editing software.

I bought this docking station in March of 2023 and it has served us well. I had two computers hooked up to it (one at a time of course): one of them a MacBook Air, and the other an LG Gram running Windows 11. The Mac required a little extra TLC to get it up and running - some program had to be auto-started every time I booted up. But once I figured that out it worked fine. The LG worked "out of the box".At the other end I had a 34" wide screen HP monitor and a Samsung 55" TV, both connected with HDMI cables, and a number of USB peripherals including webcam, scanner, CD drives.All the peripherals moved seamlessly from computer to computer with the help of the docking station.A problem arose last earlier this month: the power light didn't come on, on the docking station, and nothing was working. I communicated with customer support through Amazon, and was given some basic troubleshooting steps which I followed. When they didn't fix the problem Plugable speedily sent me a replacement unit and told me to properly dispose of the original one. When I received it I plugged it in and it worked great.Of course I'm concerned that the original docking station failed and hope that the replacement will last longer, but I'm pleased and impressed with the service I received.

I was looking for a splitter to connect two additional monitors to my laptop, and this product delivered perfectly. The setup was incredibly easy, and the monitors are clear and vivid. Having two large screens alongside my laptop has made completing my work on the computer much easier and faster. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again—it’s been a game-changer!

This is the third DisplayLink Plugable docking station (I have multiple setups) that I have purchased and, by far, the easiest to hookup. Downloaded the drivers, connected everything per the instructions and sequence. Boom! Everything worked right away! I HIGHLY recommend this docking statino.

I bought this because my employer provided a universal dock that was temperamental. I even tried buying the same brand they provided and had the same issues. This one worked with no extra effort. I'm able to use two monitors - one DP and one Hdmi - with the kvm switch I use, wireless mouse and keyboard, camera, and audio. Very happy overall with performance. The only thing that would make this better is if it also charged the laptop.

My wife's work computer needed the USB 3.0 connection vs USB C so this one worked perfectly. Downloaded the drivers and works perfectly everytime. She has a dual monitor set up which is only 1080p so I can't comment on the 4k performance. Be mindful that this will NOT charge your laptop - which I clearly new upfront but I know most won't. I will update the review if anything changes.

Used this hub to attach 2 Apple Cinema Displays to an M1 MBA. Works like a charm. Switched out a 2014 5K 27in iMac that I'd been using with the 2 CDs. Waiting for the upcoming Mac Studio. May just use these monitors for that setup as well. Could not be happier.

Update 3 almost a year down the road a new issue arose, my screen and text bars continuously drag to the right until you cannot view the screen or text, causing standard functions to be impossible. Unfortunately I strongly do not recommend this product. I was almost convinced my Mac is the problem but removing this device fixes these problems. I am seeking an alternative productUpdate 2 a few more months after the second purchase. Both displays failed within a few months, the second purchase randomly started working again about another full month after it also failed. Very unreliable, but works as advertised when it does happen to function correctlyUpdate 1 Months after I purchased the first one, as well as the second.New - This product works flawlessly for maybe a month. I bought one in May, replaced it in June, the next one lasted 2-3 months and I am now in need of another unit as my displays will not extend from my new Macbook Pro M3. I did realize after each time you turn the laptop off, you. have to re-open the DisplayLink application in order to reconnect your monitors. Unfortunately it no longer works and I am stuck to the default HDMI port to use only 1 extra. This is a very expensive piece of equipment to not even make it past 6 months. I do NOT recommend this product.Original - It was extremely hard to find a way to extend 2 displays from a macbook, this did work for a little while, the HDMI display extenders failed within a couple weeks of using. Everything else connects correctly, keyboard and mouse USB however I'm unable to use this how I intended to. Also very expensive to achieve multiple monitors

This product does exactly what it says it will do. I use it to power two 4k monitors from my MacBook Air - something I was surprised that the Air doesn't do on its own. So the Plugable device plugged right into my USB-C port and easily powered both monitors once I found the right cords and read the instructions.One year and 3 days later it stopped working. I did all the troubleshooting possible and described that to their customer service. Without question, they rushed me a new one. Then it happened again within a few days. Power issues. But before I could complain, the Plugables customer service team proactively reached out to me to see if everything was OK. When I explained the problem, they rushed me another new one.So here's the problem - I have an electric standing desk that is plugged into the same exact outlet as the plugable device. When I raised the desk and released the motor's power button, the plugable died. Motors create a power surge. So now I have a really good surge protector so the nice people at Plugable don't have to keep sending me new devices.These guys are the best for customer service!

I was looking for a docking station that worked for both PC and Mac. The only downside is that it doesnt charge the device - I still need to use my laptop charger but other than that, it's been great!

Após muitas dificuldades em encontrar a dock Station (3 antes dessa) finalmente encontrei a Dock Station perfeita para as minhas demandas (2 monitores externos de tamanhos diferentes). Ela funciona muito bem, deixou a imagem nas telas com uma definição perfeita e seguindo as orientações do vendedor eu consegui fazer o Macbook Air M1 funcionar em duas telas independentes. No meu outro computador Dell também funciona perfeitamente bem! Não precisei instalar o app. sugerido pelo fabricante. Estou muito feliz com a performance do produto. Recomendo!

excelnte estacion de acomplamiento, literal lo conecte a mi lap y enseguida se descargo el controlador y 2 monitores comenzaron a funcionar, funciona en la entrada USB C de un laptop MSI, require su propia corriente y no alimente la lap. me sobraron entradasunico contra como se ve en la presentacion del producto, la base y la colocacion no es tan libre, pero si le encuentras un lugar seguro te funcionara al 100
