It's a simple, all stainless steel hole cover. Some noticed that it fits loosely on a stainless steel sink because of the thin sink material. This is easy to fix by using clear caulk and folding the tabs back flat on the underside of the sink deck.

This 1-1/2" stainless steel sink hole plus is stainless steel but as the little tabs are bent the way they are, you will have to spend some REAL time bending and adjusting those little tabs to make it fit in the sink flush (without a gap)!Based on the picture, you would think this plug would just pop into a 1-1/2" hole with no problem.Wrong!The little tabs are bent out in a circumfruns slightly larger that 1-1/2". So when I attempted to force the plug into the hole, I get a spring like effect forcing the plug out of the hole.I had to manually rebend EVERY tab back and flush first and the white applying a great deal of downward force on the plug, I had to bend the tabs up, under the sink, to get the plug to stay in place. It was a hour plus ordeal that I would NEVER want to repeat!It is Stainless Steel but I would not recommend anyone purchasing this product unless they want to spend some serious time trying to get it to fit properly.

They didn't fit. Too big but needed something right away the prongs hammered flat pretty good. So flattened out and used waterproof sealant to attach over holes. Worked out fine. Not ideal but worked.

Not sure why some folks had trouble with this. It just popped right in and did the job. Maybe if you didn't measure first? But it's exactly as advertised and solved the problem.
