Your cart is empty.Dive Alert-Plus v.2 is a specially designed, small, lightweight air horn that uses quick-connect/disconnect hose couplings to become an integrated part of your power inflator, breathable/inflator and buoyancy compensator. Installation is easy and only takes a moment. Dive Alert-Plus does not require any modification of your other equipment, and it does not interfere with the normal operation of your other equipment. Dive Alert-Plus enables divers to signal both above and below the water's surface.There are three different models available; one for approximately 85% of standard power inflator mechanisms model DV1. There are several breathable/inflator mechanisms that require a larger coupling for a higher flow of air so there are two models to accommodate them. The model DV2 and the model DV3 (see list below).Why have Dive Alert Plus? What would you do in a diving emergency if you needed to get the attention of the pick-up boat or someone else on the water's surface? Before Dive Alert-Plus Scuba divers had relied on whistles or a SMB (surface marker buoy) as their only signaling devices in such an emergency. But if the diver is disabled and can't blow into a whistle (or deploy the SMB) the whistle makes no sound at all. Works underwater and above water. Under water it sounds kind of like a duck. Once you get above the water you can squeeze it with a quick on on off an keep the duck sound, or you can squeeze it all the way and it's a loud horn. For me, it is so loud it makes my ear ring that is closest to the horn. I am going to try it putting my head under water because its just that loud. the trigger can be turned to lock so you don't accidentally blow the horn, and it can also swivel a little if you want it fitting differently on your BCD. If you are thinking about a boat dive and want that extra insurance so you can be found then don't hesitate.

I didn't know what to expect. I attached the airhorn to my BC and turned it AWAY FROM MY BODY in a safe direction. First test was the last test EVER above water! It was TOO LOUD and should come with a GIANT warning label. MY ears felt like they were gushing blood for at least 1 hour after the short 3 second "blast". However, in an emergency, this item will definitely get the attention of any boat or ship for at least 3/4 to 1 mile. I'm NOT sending it back.

Although the product I received didn't fit my BCD due to the vague description the vendor made it right by correcting the description and refunding me including freight for the return. I'm completely satisfied with how this was handled

This product did not work. Took a few presses to start getting a sound, however it was not consistent and barley audible. Unfortunately, I missed my return window so now I’m stuck with a useless piece of equipment.

Did not seal on the Apes Octo+ as it was supposed to.
