  • Keep your scanner clean by closing trays when not in use. For dirt on rollers or streaks on scans, simply follow cleaning and calibration instructions.

  • Click "New" to add scan profile, in filename format select "Barcode" , then software will auto recognize barcode and set to file name.

I scanned several thousand invoices to searchable content PDF files in record time. Paper jams are extremely rare. I highly recommend this scanner.

The PlusTek PS188 is a nice compact package, but it failed after scanning one 50 page document. Spent a couple hours troubleshooting and the tech support couldn't get it to work. Returning it.The OCR capability intended to allow for full text search is incomplete. It does recognize the text in a document but does not turn the text in the image into actual text. It creates a separate reference file that is somehow linked to the page. The full text search would seem to allow for the searching of an array of documents, but the user has to select each document to search. Not quite what I thought it would be.

Ready for use just out of the box. User friendly, no need to set up. It is as good as my Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 with half the cost.

Even their tech support couldn't get my computer to recognize the scanner. I'm running Windows 11 Pro. Scanner got promptly returned. I'd give it minus star review if it was possible. 👎
