Product is nice and sturdy but useless as it does consistently find north. I was very careful to level it and repeatedly checked it. If it is very close to north already, it will spin there. More than 45 degrees off it will not.

This compass is MUCH higher quality than I expected.Very solid metal design. The compass turns at ease and gives accurate and easy to read. I’m super happy with this item.

Needle apparently was demagnitized; did not point to North.
