Does the job. Takes a little practice for first timers but voila, job done!

I have just used this one and it is awesome. I repurpose picture frames and this is great tool.

I haven’t done much picture framing and only had a few frames to assemble so I didn’t want to buy a bunch of stuff. However, this was worth every penny. It’s very easy to use and makes light work of installing the picture retention pins. It’ll probably sit in the back of a drawer for a few years but I’ll be glad I have it if I build any more frames.

I can't complain about how well this works for picture framing...but I was surprised it was not less expensive.

Bought this to secure back panels on pictures. This Point Driver works very well for that given the fact that it shoots the points out the front face of the driver, i.e. you can hold the panel down with the bottom of the driver, rest the head against the frame and shoot the point. The tools has some heft to it and feels very sturdy. The only complaint I have is that it misfires at times. To remediate I open up the nail compartment and shut it again with some speed to ensure the nails are all the way up front in the chamber. More of a nuissance than a deadly flaw, and might just be my driver then a general issue with design/production.The only limitation this tool has is when you try and shoot pins too close to the edge of the frame as the force and the pin might split the frame. But if you put the pin probably more than 1/8th of an inch down from the edge of the frame, you should be ok.Overall I do recommend this tool for its price point and functionality.

This was so easy to use! I purchased a frame not realizing that it was not secured in the back. This allowed me to secure the picture being framed fast and with ease

I frame quite a few paintings, and for years I used standard glaziers points. Even with specialized tooling the often bent, and were often the most unpleasant part of the entire framing process. I don't know how I missed this tool. It made all the difference in the world. Flawless performance and ease of use.

First, no instructions. Easy to figure out, but still. First shots into pine got less than 1/32 penetration. I maxed out the depth setting and almost got a full 1/8. Too bad as soon as I tried to bend it, simulating adding artwork to my frame, it fell out. Let’s try walnut next. Full power again got us about 1/16. Never mind the frequent misfires, jams, and overall poor performance. Maybe if this had included a hammer to drive the points home and this was labeled as a “point starterâ€. Even then you’d have a good chance they would fall out before you could drive them home. Maybe I just got a dud, but you could probably get these points in deeper if you threw them at your frame.

No vienen instrucciones, se ve robusta, pero hay que adivinar cómo funciona.
