Got these to fire out of 40mm rounds for airsoft... they don't work well but are funny to use. Players will see this bright yellow ball fly past them at 200fps and get confused. When it does hit they call it right away and laugh at how absurd they are for the sport.As for if they are safe for airsoft... no clue. They are not really designed for it and honestly most fields don't allow anything but BBs. I got lucky that my local field doesn't care and lets use vet players do whatever as long as we don't hurt people.

This ammo works exactly the same as the nerf brand ammo. No jams, easy use. They are the same size, feel, and softness as the nerf brand. The price is exactly what the value is worth. In stores, the nerf brand ammo would cost you the same price for only 60 balls. I highly recommend this off-brand ammo. Works amazingly, I'm very surprised how well this works. The only bad thing is that when I opened them, they smell like fresh paint. Other than that, there is no problem at all, just cover your nose when you open the package. -Foam Flinger Approved

These are definitely firmer than the name brand foam balls. My kids can tell the difference while blindfolded every time. But for such a small fraction of the price of the name brand foam balls, I can't deduct a star for the difference. They aren't bad at all, but they are distinguishable from the real deal. We like to think it ups the stakes a bit and gives just a little more sting when you get hit in a battle.
