Pol-Ease 2300 is an effective release for most Polytek products, but should not be used before pouring or brushing liquid silicone mold rubber – in this case Pol-Ease 2500 is the proper choice. Brushing out the release with a soft brush can improve results.

Nowhere on the can does it mention the use of silicone! Given how problematic silicone contamination is in many applications, this should be BIG BOLD PRINT so users know! I just got majorly screwed on a big project due to lack of labeling on the stupid can. I bought this in the store and not on online, otherwise I would have seen the silicone warning here. One more reason to shop online I guess. What a joke though-- all that writing on the can and they can't find the space to mention the single most critical piece of information!
