This is a great, high quality bag. I just started a new job as a school teacher and was looking for a stylish leather briefcase / satchel style bag to carry my computer and papers and things and this turned out to be everything I was looking for. This is a very high quality, good looking bag with thick sturdy leather. It has a removable strap so you can carry it as a briefcase or as a messenger bag. It is the perfect size for my work computer and for carrying all my files. It has a padded laptop section for smaller computers or tablets and larger space in the main section for bigger ones. It should fit most computers though it is a bit too small for my 17" personal laptop so make sure you check the dimensions. It is very spacious without being bulky. There are lots of pockets of varying sizes and zippered compartments all over that are great for anything that you could need, more than I know what to do with. The buckles are good looking, sturdy, and easy to latch, unlatch and get into even while wearing. They also have an adjustable strap to accommodate how full the bag is. The only thing I see that could be a negative is that is seems to scuff rather easily. I personally thing it gives the bag a kind of cool used look so I don't mind. There could also be ways of dealing with scuffs that I don't know of but there it is. This is the second bag I have bought from this company and I have been more that pleased with my experience. I definitely recommend this bag.

Well, it was time to replace my ~25 year old messenger bag, and seeing as it was a little dated in style, I choose this more modern one. I have no doubt this one will last me at least 25 years. My last bag didn’t have a “pocket” for my computer (go figure, 25 yrs ago), but this one has a great padded laptop pocket inside. Another thing I noticed right away was that this bag stands up by itself, whereas my last one flopped over and I was always leaning it against something. Of course I typically have a rather large computer book in the bag, which keeps it wide and heavy.The external distressed leather looks really good and I actually think that if it picks up additional scars and scratches it would just add to the distressed look. It reminds me of an Indiana Jones bag, and I feel like I’m going on an adventure when I use it. The leather feels soft and smooth, and doesn’t have that vinegar-y scent that cheaper leather goods sometimes have. All the stitching is very nice and tight, with no loose threads. The zippers all have a nicely sized leather tab (thick enough that it doesn’t curl!) that makes it easy to open all the zippered compartments (one in the outside front, one in the outside back, one in the inside front and a separate middle pocket). The tabs also have a brass rivet along with a stitched middle, so that they will look cooler as you add wear to them (nice detail). The inside flap is made with suede leather. There’s 2 fairly large outside pockets in front (~6” wide, ~2” depth, ~8” height (there’s tapering)) that will easily hold eyeglass cases, 4x6 day planners (with extra room) and work badges. There’s also 2 inside pockets that are smaller, but will still hold my 4x6 day planner. In addition there’s 2 pen holders. The middle zippered pocket is slightly padded. The strap is canvas on the inside and leather on the outside. If you use the strap only, you don’t really need to snap the bag closed due to the weight and balance of the flap. You need to use at least one of the bag snaps if you use the carry handle. while I’ve only had it for a few weeks, it’s held up pretty well. in my experience, if zippers are going to break, it’s in a few days or never.Packaging: The messenger bag came in the standard Amazon box and the bag had a tightly wrapped plastic covering that was taped at the opening (very neat appearance), which I’m guessing is to protect the bag from moisture. After removing the plastic, there was another cloth like large bag (oversized and with a handle slot) the the messenger bag was in, which I’m guessing is to protect the leather and is a nice touch.Overall, it’s a very well made messenger bag with a lot of pockets and dividers that should hold up very well for many, many years. It also looks pretty cool, all the extra details really add to the overall appearance.

I received my messenger bag today and I am so very pleased. The leather quality is exceptional, the bag is sturdy and beautifully stitched, the locking clasps for the shoulder strap are unique and guarantee a firm clasp. This is a very professional looking bag that I will be proud to carry into the courtroom. The pockets are roomy enough for my needs and there are plenty of them for the various items I carry on a daily basis. The color is exactly as advertised and adds to the rustic charm and beauty of the bag.I only received the bag today, so I am unable to rate durability, but I have no doubt that in one year’s time I will be back to continue this stellar review. I've been wanting to replace my standard laptop bag with something slightly more professional, and thought this would be a good option. Initially, one of my first reservations was that transitioning to a leather bag from a canvas style would add unnecessary weight. Secondly, I didn't know if this would offer the requisite storage compartments to organize all of the stuff that I carry on a regular basis.Construction: This bag is solid. The zippers are great. The leather is robust. The clips for the carrying strap seem to be solid, and should hold up for extended use.Organization: There are quite a few different pockets, which allow me to compartmentalize the different things I carry e.g., 1 Surface Pro tablet, 1 Surface pro laptop, chargers for the laptop, phones, fitbit, earbuds, etc. There are plenty of different locations to store and secure items to keep them from moving around, and allows the overall form factor to stay tight and relatively compact.So far, I'm really pleased with the product. I was a little skeptical about the transition to a leather bag, but I'm optimistic that this will be a good change of pace from the bag I've used for the last 6 years. I have every expectation that this will last just as long, if not longer.

Nice bag strong leather and only reason I am not giving 5 stars is how tight spaced it is. Not very much room for anything other than a laptop a folder and some cords

Blew me away on how beautiful it looks! Thank god I didn’t get those branded synthetic leather bags!
