Designed to perfectly complement the Reserve series, this optional height module adds exceptionally realistic sound without the hassle of installing speakers in the ceiling.
High Definition Pinnacle Ring Radiator Tweeter
Over 40 years of tweeter innovation, design and prototyping has led to the development of the new 1" high definition Pinnacle ring radiator tweeter. Developed by Polk Audio, it delivers ultra-clear, crisp highs without unwanted coloration or distortions. The Pinnacle tweeter features a finely tuned waveguide that dramatically improves the dispersion of high frequency energy ensuring a broad •sweet spot" while the critically damped rear-chamber helps defeat any unwanted resonances.
Flagship Turbine Cone Design
Using the same patented Turbine Cone as the Reserve line, this height module is timbre matched and positioned in the array to deliver an incredibly immersive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X experience.
Sleek Modern Design
Reserve R900 height modules are available in three modern finishes: Midnight Black, Satin White, and Chestnut Brown. Satin White and Chestnut Brown coming late 2021.
Fully Sealed Enclosure
The R900 features a fully sealed enclosure to prevent resonances and distortions.
Versatile Placement
The Polk Reserve R900 height module is Dolby Atmos enabled and designed w DTS:X. With the ability to wall mount or place on top of a compatible Reserve speaker, this height module allows convenient flexibility. Flip the switch on the back of the speaker to select the desired position and the speaker will automatically adapt to the optimal performance.

These speakers are quality made and very appropriately match the drivers design in my other Polk speakers. This is my first experience with Dolby Atmos speakers. When properly placed, set-up, and configured with your AVR, the end result is significantly improved and enhanced sound quality. The immersive sound experience is quite stunning. I have made several placement changes since they arrived. Even before I bought them, I ruled out ceiling installation. With these R 900 height speakers you have 2 options—on top of your front speakers facing upward or on the wall behind your home theater system.I have tried both and prefer the upward firing effect, but not on top of the front speakers. Mine are facing up, but on shelving behind the entertainment center facing up and pulled forward closer to the ceiling (see pic). My subwoofer is also behind the entertainment center. This arrangement gives me the best overall immersive experience from a wide range of sources. I am very satisfied with these speakers. I should add that I also upgraded my AVR to the Marantz SR-7015 which according to the documentation incorporates the latest technology to enhance the Dolby Atmos sound experience.

Perched atop a pair of Polk Reserve R700s they perform with excellence bouncing the sound off the ceiling. Depending on the atmos recorded sound track they give a very realistic presentation. Helicopter flying over in movie back to front starts at surround back, to surround to atmos speakers then to front for a very realistic experience making you feel like you are right there.

have had them connected for weeks and played many 4k movies using the appropriate receiver settings and haven't heard them once....probably a waste of money.Enjoy!

I like the sound that the speakers adds to 5.1.2 setup. My only issue is that the walnut or brown speakers isn't a close enough match to my existing rti8 front standing speakers when they are positioned on top of them.Build quality is great and I like the magnetic grill covers.
