This headset is not perfectly perfect in every way but it is the best that you can buy.This is the only headset in the Plantronics lineup listed as having "premium" quality sound. It is Plantronics' flagship headset. Plantronics is the industry leader in earpiece headsets. If you are looking for the highest-quality headset you can buy, look no more. You have come to the right page.The primary complaint I've read about on the Plantronics customer service site is that after two years the battery will die a natural death due to old age. So do realize that this will not last forever. If your battery dies while the headset is under warranty, that's too soon and Plantronics will replace it. If your battery dies in less than 2 years but out of warranty, Plantronics is currently offering customers substantial discounts to buy replacements. (Save your receipt! Scan it if you're paperless. Or buy it from Amazon where they will keep a record for you.)I just bought my second one - the first lasted about 4 years for me with light use. I did read that some can get extra life out of their battery by putting the headset into a ziploc and then into the freezer overnight... so if you're here for a replacement, you might try that first and buy a little more time. I got a few extra months out of mine by discarding the (optional accessory) case I was using to charge it and by charging it directly through the OEM cord that came with it (so save that too!).WHAT YOU GET:Packaging is Easy to Open: there is a large sticker sealing the opening to the smallish box closed. That is easily cut with a pair of scissors. Then pull out the cardboard wings that are tucked into slots on each side of the front of the box and open it up.- Plantronics headset (battery is permanently installed)- Proprietary charging cord with separate wall plug- Two additional ear plugs -- larger and smaller than the one preinstalled on the headset- Foam covers for the ear plugs, to use or not as you prefer- Instruction Booklet- Instructions on Firmware Update- Safety Warnings- Some stuff in another languageThe cord is USB on the wall end and proprietary on the headset end (only matches the headset). That means that you can plug the cord into the computer to get firmware and software updates from Plantronics (which is the first thing that they recommend you do upon unpackaging your headset). The cord is short, just under 10" long (without the connectors).It's easy to change the ear plugs in and out so that you can try different sizes. You just press in and turn to the left. To insert one, you press in and turn to the right. (All of this is in the instruction book.) I found that I could use the small or the medium. I'm a 5'7" woman who weighs more than she should but you wouldn't hate sitting next to me on a plane. The ear plug sits loosely just inside your ear. You may not even feel it. It's definitely not a snug fit and you will hear surrounding sounds in both ears. What keeps the headset in place is the rest of it, not the ear plug.The boom mic is adjustable. I found it was directly pointed toward my mouth in it's lowest position.The device has a call button on the round part, from which the boom extends. That's for taking and ending calls if you don't want to use voice commands, which also work. On the underside of the boom is another button that mutes calls among other things. There is a volume rocker on the upper back part of the largest part of the device -- the part that goes behind the ear. And below that is the on/off switch. At the bottom of the back is the charging connector -- just a bit of recessed coppery looking metal.It reads "Plantronics" in very subtle small pale gray lettering at the bottom of the largest part of the device, on both sides. You can see where it is in the small shiny black part at the bottom of the picture.If you have the right expectations (it's not a magic genie... It may only last for two years... A very few of them will be defective and will require replacement...), you will be delighted with your purchase. You will not find better sound quality anywhere else. If you are used to music headphones, the looser, more open feel of the headset in your ear (or barely touching the front of your ear), might take some adjustment.I highly recommend this product and am confident that, if after reading this review you still want it, you will not be disappointed.UPDATE: One feature I have come to really appreciate is the voice commands. Some parts of my house get spotty cell phone reception. So, when I'm wearing the headset (during work hours), I always leave my phone in a "good reception area" of the house. If a call comes in, I don't have to rush back to the headset to pick it up, I just say, "answer" and the headset picks up the call. If the caller is in my address book, the phone will announce who's calling. If I'm silent or say "decline," the call is not picked up.

As others have said, it's probably the the best BT set ever made. Drive down the freeway at 70 with the window open and the caller would believe you if you told them you were in the office. It really is that good at noise cancellation. Volume can be turned up very loud if needed for old deaf people like me. Battery life is great. Lasts for days. Comfort is excellent, you can forget you're wearing it. Durability is also great, I've dropped them off a 10' ladder with no ill effect. Perspiration does not damage it. Now the negatives: It has a proximity sensor to tell the headset it is on your head. This will fail. Repeatedly. You will know it happened when the headset inexplicably disconnects from the phone mid call. It also doesn't seem to care if it's on your head or sitting on the couch. Dumb idea, poorly executed. Easy enough to reset, just connect it to the charger for a few seconds and make sure it's not near anything metal while you do that. There is a better solution. Download Plantronics Hub to your PC and use it to turn off this ridiculous, unreliable sensor. The other fail is the charging connection. I will never understand why folks feel the need for a proprietary connector. They are invariably troublesome. The Plantronics connector is no exception. You will need to ensure the connections are clean on both the charger and headset. If either is dirty, resistance builds up with the inevitable associated heat. Enough heat to literally deform the charger's connector, rendering it useless. Take care of those two things and you will have no complaints. In conclusion, I sincerely hope they never stop making it. Perhaps one day the connector engineer, who presumably still has his job because he has pictures of the CEO with an underage goat, will retire and they will put a proper charging connector on it.

I drove back to the supermarket where I thought I might have lost my Plantronics Voyager HD and found it lying in the parking lot smashed. It had either been stepped on or driven over. It still worked, but others heard a buzz when I spoke. It had been a great headset, so it's replacement the Plantronics Voyager Legend had a lot to live up to. So, how did it do:1. The non-standard charging plug is inconvenient, but not as bad as other reviewers make it out to be. Like many, I have many chargers. I have a charger by the bed, at my desk, in the kitchen, by the TV, and in the car. All of them worked with the HD and won't work with the Legend. But, a) the Legend has great battery life, so I can frequently go a whole day without recharging, b) the magnetic plug works really well, so I never find that the plug didn't quite make contact and my Legend isn't charged, and c) there are cheap adapters that adapt my micro-USB plugs to the Legend's magnetic connector.2. The Bluetooth of the Legend has a longer range than the HD. The HD was good for about 15 feet and my body could block the signal somewhat it I put my phone in my right pocket and my HD in the left ear. The Legend works at a distance of 30 feet and through two sheetrock walls.3. The voice interaction is better. I particularly like the "Call from John Smith, Answer or Ignore?" feature4. Folks on the other end of the call say the sound quality is excellent and the sound delivered to my ear is loud and clear.If you've never used a Voyager before, here are some other points:5) Voyagers aren't inconspicuous, but excellent sound quality demands that boom mike. Decide whether your headset is going to be a communications tool or a fashion statement.6) Once you try having the works behind your ear, you'll wonder why everybody doesn't do it that way.7) If past Voyagers are any indication, you'll notice the battery life getting shorter after about years and after three years it will be time for a new headset. I think this is as good as or better than most headsets.

Price reasonnable, quality excellent, AND especially THE GREATEST, takes two minutes to pair and no apps to download. YES, can't believe it, just two minutes.For me, this is the best purchase ever. You don't feel it on you, everybody undestands' you very well, as it's wifi, you are free to move, I get no benefit for giving this review other then hoping you guys will purchase this one first before spending alot of money for nothing before getting to it. :-D Great product. 'Hope it has a long life .... we'll see.

Lo que me gusto ; es el tiempo de la bateria , se escucha muy claro y fuerte , me eschuchan perfectamente bien aun manejando con el vidrio del carro abierto ,Lo que no me gusto : aun no se me acomoda en el oido bien e utilizado tos los accesorios que venian en el paquete , tambien note que a una distancia de 5 metros mas o menos se empieza la interferencia asta que se desconecta .

Product is good and relevant for business. Ease of use . Mute button is very handy especially for video calls . This is new experience , but Bluetooth connection with multiple devices still getting stabilised . However , a great product and good deal

I had the full set a few years back and after not using for a while the internal battery died. Got a replacement and this time will use it faithfully.

I was looking for a low-cost replacement to my old Jabra Pro (it's on its third battery and the earpad fell off) and half-failing AirPods Pro (one pod died, the other only gets an hour or two of battery life).This thing is great! Cheap, doesn't irritate my ear like the AirPods Pro, doesn't fall off, makes me sound better than the AirPods (about the same as the $300 Jabra, according to colleagues), stays connected to both my iPhone and Windows laptop, and lasts (so far) 7 entire hours. It's cheap enough that I won't mind replacing it when the battery inevitably declines -- I could buy 3-4 of these for a set of AirPods.My only complaints are that it doesn't come with a case (there's one available though) and that the bluetooth range doesn't compare to the Jabra with DECT.
