We were using an ugly pond net and weren't happy with how it looked or kept the frogs out of the pond so we were so happy to find these. They were really easy to install the only downfall we found was they floated just below the water level and our fish couldn't access their food. My wife had a great idea to cut a pool noodle into small circles and attach it to the bottom. This keeps them floating above the water enough the fish can get their food and bonus the frogs love hanging out on top of them.

I have a water feature, a.k.a pond, in my backyard. It's about 400 sq ft by 2 ft deep, irregularly shaped. These web tiles, as I call them, make the best edge protection from raccoons and herons, which have feasted on my fish. I have not lost any fish in the two years I have used this type of protection. I placed these around the border running 2 tiles in width. The little c-clips to join the tiles have been problematic. I use the smallest zip-ties to join the tiles, but a little loose. This creates a stiff, floating web of protection around the border. While the tiles do float, small things make them submerge, like a stick or leaves or the fish sucking on the for algae. I use a narrow backer rod, like 3/8", and zip tie this cord underneath the tiles in a wavy pattern that keeps them evenly afloat. it is a lot of work, but the end result is no fish loss and no large, unsightly mesh covering the pond. I highly recommend this type of cover protection.

We haven't lost any koi since we installed these. They're a simple but genius solution. Not hard to install, and easy to cut to the shape you need. Toads love to hang out on them at night. They've made our pond quite the travel destination for every toad in the neighborhood.

Doesn’t work like advertised. Sinks and not strong enough to keep animals out

Used this to keep pond plants away from edges of pond so animals wouldn't eat the plants. Installation was simple. Yet,it keeps sinking and plants would end up on the pond edge anyway. Looking for alternative for next year.

We found out an owl has been taking our koi and goldfish (thanks Ring cameras)! We didn’t want ugly, loose netting on the pond, we want to be able to still see and enjoy the fish, and we want it to still be easy to feed them - this product checks all the boxes! We’ve had these in our pond for about 3 months and we’ve watched the owl swoop down to the pond trying to take a fish but it can’t get to them thanks to these! We’re going to adjust them this spring so they are even less noticeable and are aligned better but overall, you can hardly notice them, we can still feed the fish, and they stay afloat even with a little algae grown on them. I’ll be interested to see what happens when our plants start growing back and how they grow through the discs but overall, very happy. These have saved our fish multiple times over - the owl is a frequent visitor, especially since it was getting easy breakfast and lunch at our pond for a while!

Bought this as an attempt to keep unwanted critters out of my pond and to protect the fish. Works on egrets and other birds. Not for raccoons. The raccoon simply tore it apart and dragged parts of it out of the water. It did delay his activity enough for me to get my Hatsan .30 and plug him with a round to end his rampage.
