i have got this clamp and i have the others styles which i dont use including the bessy clamp,,,the other clamps cannot put enough pressure on what you are working on but the ratching action on this clamp is great,,,you can get plenty of pressure on the miter joint,,,,,trust me,,you will not be disappointed with this clamp for miter joints!

I bought one from a woodworking shop and I like how they work for box like joints. So I bought 3 more from Amazon and look similar but redesigned. The corner pieces stay on better, but no longer have the edge rim. I actually like the edge rim better as I typically would clamp both edges. But technically these can strap in the middle of your joint area. Your preference.Other differences: strap material is different weave and edge stitching. I would say these are made in a different factory than before. Likely for lower cost. They function. But now I see other newer strap clamps designs out there. That might work even better than this design. But they function in many applications.

This thing is a real pos out of the box. I had to dissamble it and reassemble it correctly to use. Once I got it on the correct orientation I realized the rivet that holds the ratchet gear in its spot has extreme slop, rendering this clamp literally worthless. It will not ratchet correctly doe to the slop. China quality. I really expected something different from Pony Jorg... They used to be a good brand for clamps. Really dossapoonted

I ised these to repair a broken pottery crock. They held it together perfectly while the glue dried.

These pony clamps work great for small wood working projects. The only trouble I’ve found is the spring steel clip that holds the strap to the ratchet. After some time it comes loose & won’t hold the strap on any more.

I bought these because we needed to re-glue our dining room chairs. The dining set is from the 70s and when we had it refinished 20 years ago we think they dip stripped them. The glue has not held since. To glue the legs you have to clamp them together with these straps. This is one of the easiest sets I have ever used. I bought two different ones so I could compare. This one is superior.

It was broken after 2 times of use, good for fun not for real work.
