True to size, small fits my son who is 7yrs old and average size and wears 7 or 8. I originally ordered a medium because it seems like a lot of things run small but the sleeves were too long. No pilling and it's warm thick fleece. Works great for school uniform jacket, it's hard to find anything without a hood.

Ordered this jacker for my 13 year old son, and it was the only size left and thought it would work. It is too big and will have to wait for him to grow into it. Also, it was a little bulkier than I thought, thicker material than expected.
