I used this on a 14 hour flight and it really saved me from leg pain! I'm almost 5'2'' and my feet tend to dangle when I sit on planes. This helped me place my feet at a normal level, and I didn't have pain. It's easy to clean, and store away on a carry on.I've tried hammocks before, which didn't help. I was hesitant to buy this because if the price tag, but was really worth it!

I’m a 5’4” female with legs a little on the short side so finding a chair (much less an airplane seat) that’s comfortable to sit in for any length of time is a challenge. I’ve tried an over-the-tray-table leg hammock, two different types of inflatable foot rests, and packing my personal item to accommodate the weight of my feet as a makeshift footrest, but none of these have checked all the boxes for comfort/convenience/durability. I hesitated to buy this product because of the price but am really glad I did. It elevates my feet enough to alleviate pressure on the backs of my legs and keeps me in a better posture which goes a long way toward preventing hip and back pain while sitting. So far I have only used it on domestic flights (2-4 hours) but am looking forward to testing it on longer flights. I like that it’s low-profile and fairly discreet and slips easily into a carry on or personal item pocket. As other reviewers have mentioned it’s heavier than you would think is necessary (1lb 5oz) which doesn’t bother me on domestic flights but could be a dealbreaker for an international flight with strict carry on weight limits. If any flight attendants have noticed me using this they haven’t said so, but again, non-US carriers can have stricter rules and might not allow such items on the floor. The only other minor issue is that the tray table hits the top of my knees so I have to angle my legs to the side or put my feet on the floor in order to open flat. This is a small price to pay for otherwise greatly improved comfort while flying though. Overall this product is a game-changer for me. Durability is TBD, along with the possibility of being forbidden to use this on an international flight-at which point I would wail and sob and plead my case for needing it in order to survive the journey.

I am 5’0. In church I am always squirming around my seat trying to get comfortable. This will be a game changer! I just got it in and tried it out! Made really well, which is great because I didn’t like the price. However, it’s made well, plastic is thick, and made in the USA. Yay! So, no more complaints about the price :-). I will keep this one in my car and will buy another one to keep in my husband’s truck, so I’ll always have one handy no matter where I go. Taking a trip this summer so will bring with me on the plane. One of the. EST purchases I’ve ever made. And I may follow another suggestion from a review that says to add little rubber grips (however, it won’t be able to close fully - but will still fit in the bag). Thank you to whomever invented this wonderful little stool! Love how compact it is!

This is so lightweight and portable. I am 5’1” and wish I had found this sooner! It is easy to pull out and set up (I actually did it with my feet once we were all seated on the plane). It’s easy to shift its position (again, with your feet if you don’t have space to reach down) depending on how you want you feet resting.Because it’s so lightweight, it’s a little unstable, but it’s easy to get used to where to place your feet for better stability. I do wish the platform on top was wider (top-to-bottom, not necessarily side-to-side).I have a size 6 foot, but I don’t know how well it would work for much bigger feet. It’s not perfect, but it’s worth the money. I feel like this will help swelling (and potential clots) on my overseas flights.

Got this for a flight from the U.S. to Europe (7 countries), for my 18 year old daughter. She is 5'8" and has long legs. I am 5'6" and have 'normal' length legs. Whereas she is tall and thin, I'm medium and have heavy legs. Normal length...but heavy! It is about 10" wide when in it's original form with the top "sliders" closed/pushed together and 14-1/2" when the top sliders are fully pulled apart. You can spread your feet apart with no trouble when your feet are resting on the top of it. Whether it's closed at 10" wide or opened fully at 14 1/2", you have plenty of room to put both feet on it without having to squash your feet together. Closed, you still have some room to move your feet around. And with it fully extended you can really move your feet around.Just the top sliders pull apart. The 'legs' fold under the footrest 'ledge' when not in use. When you open it, the legs flop down automatically. That's when you choose to keep the sliders closed at 10 inches or open them to 14 1/4 inches. It stands 5" high with the legs down and in use, and almost 1" when the 'legs' are folded back under the ledge, when not in use. (So it folds to 1" flat when stored). The top of the footrest has a sort of rough pattern etched into the plastic to help keep your feet from slipping off. The sides and a bit of trim around the edge of the top are shiny plastic. This would probably scratch easily, but who cares. It's on the ground! She hasn't taken the flight yet, so we opened it up and tested it on the floor. SUPER SUPER easy to open and close. It took me all of 4 seconds to open.Very sturdy on the ground. I couldn't tip it over when I wobbled my feet. And I pressed down heavily on it. It didn't bend or budge. The 'locks' holding the legs open didn't close. It's very solid plastic. As a matter of fact, it's a bit heavy to be honest. I was surprised how heavy it was. Not bowling ball heavy! But heavier than I would have thought. But that's what makes it sturdy. It's not some thin, brittle plastic. The height, when opened, is perfect for me. My knees are about dead even with where they should be according to studies. And even with her longer legs, my daughters knee's are only about an inch higher than her butt. And no, her knees are not poking up in the air. She said it was actually very comfortable and felt like it moved her back and hips into a good position. The velvet pouch that comes with it is nice. The inside of the pouch is lined with a thin very flexible coating of vinyl or something. This is good. It makes me feel as though dirt from the footrest won't eventually grind it's way through the fabric and onto things next to it in her carry on. Such as her clothes or personal items! All in all, this is a good purchase, well worth the higher price. I can see the whole family getting use from it. I'm going to put it under my computer desk when no one else is using it. My husband say's he's taking it on his short "U.S." flights. But my daughter say's it's going with her when she leaves for college!...lolSUPER shipping and customer service dept. Rcvd the package in time to leave the country, and well packed, in perfect condition. Would buy from company again.UPDATE: My daughter said this was a lifesaver on the longggg overseas flight. It kept her back from aching.
