I wanted to be able to offer earth ground to a generator used to power a small shed. For heavier use and more KW, perhaps it would be a bit undersized. For my purposes, it works fantastic.I moved the cable to attach to the generator frame, and buried the post. Now I can just clip the jaw to the post when we need the generator, and remove it quickly to put away the unit. Using it this way, the second cable is basically stored as a backup for when/if the other is damaged, and the cable/jaw is not left outside to be exposed to the elements of Michigan winter
