If the scanner cannot read your SD card, please format the SD card first.
Step 1: Insert the SD card into the slot, then switch on the scanner;
Step 2: Press the “Format” button next to the SD card slot, and the LCD displays “F”;
Step 3: Press the “Power/Scan” button, then the SD card shown on the LCD disply flahses till the format is finished.
Tips for use
-Before use, please use the Calibration Card included to adjust the white balance.
-Please note that the effective width is shorter the scanner’s body length.
-The higher the resolution and the more complexed the content to be scanned, the slower your sliding is required.
-Move the scanner slowly and as stably as possible to get better quality.
-If the “red” indicator gets on during your scanning, it means your sliding is too fast.
-If the “green” indicator gets off during scanning, please re-start your scanning.

I got this and it took practice but it gets easy as you keep scanning. Love the textures I can pick up anywhere. I use this for art and digital art

Initial set-up is easy. First scan good. Then I tried to calibrate the white level. Used wrong button sequence. Machine now in permanent error mode. This is my error. So I will not return the item.

It runs on AA batteries and claims to scan 200 pages. It barely scanned 20 and the batteries were dead. Not only that but you can not scan while the unit is plugged into the USB cable. The images are all distorted no matter how slow you scan. Not worth the money.
