Once assembled, this is an excellent podium for my purposes. I teach a unit on debate to 8th graders, and I needed something lightweight and unobtrusive enough to be stored out of the way most of the time, but robust enough to last for a unit and remain intact. The jury's still out on that one, but it's certainly portable yet stable when placed somewhere.It's a little dusty, but that doesn't affect its performance. The wheels seem to lock even when the castors are set to the unlock positions, so it's better to either replace the wheels or just lift it to move it instead of dragging it across the floor. (Again, it's pretty light weight.) The instructions aren't at all user-friendly, however. You really have to know what you're doing when assembling it because certain parts need to be installed in a certain order or things won't fit correctly. This is especially true for the stand itself where it secures itself to the angled paper holder part. Also, don't tighten the screws all the way until *everything* is in place. And you'll probably want to use your own screwdriver. The one it comes with, while more robust than the cheap option many of these DIY projects come with, isn't the greatest.

The knobs would not fit into the nut and hole provided. I ended up drilling new holes the make the stand function as designed. Other than that, it was quick to assemble and will work for our purposes.

This stand was overpriced for the quality of the item. It had sharp metal shavings attached to the bottom frame, and the plastic paper ledge did not attach well because the holes for the screws didn't line up. This podium is advertised as white but is probably three different colors ranging from white to light yellow. At least Amazon returns are pretty easy.......

Should have listened to other reviewers! Two of the screw holes are too big, so I’m unable to assemble the thing. Will have to make a second trip to the hardware store for hopefully larger BOLTS that might work. Super frustrating and a problem that should have been resolved given other noted bad reviews.

I use this for presentations where I need to work using a laptop on the podium.Assembly was easy and the adjustable height seems to be practical for most jobs at hand.It looks practical, attractive and unobtrusive on the stage or platform at the venue.It's a versatile and worthwhile podium at an affordable price.Looks Great and Functions Perfectly.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I work from home and we're having some remodeling and painting done. I ordered this to use as a standing desk now, as I work in various rooms as needed as well as to work outside some! The assembly instructions were okay, they could definitely be more clear. Not all of the holes lined up exactly, but we were able to make it work. It is very lightweight, which is great, but also makes it a little less sturdy. To rise or lower, and to change the angle of the desktop, it requires loosening knobs on each side of the stand. (The range of heights is great!). I do wish it was a little more sturdy; there are a lot of options at this price point and some may have more features or heft.

This is practical, especially when I work from my bed.Fairly easy to assemble, although it takes a bit of time.This is lighter than I thought it would be. But appears pretty sturdy at no matter what level I put it.Easy to move around and shifting the height is easy.Materials are good, not great but it does a good job.Pretty good space for my laptop.
