Unfortunately never worked well. Has a utility to track Good Open and Fail Open rates for software open commands through that utility or through the POS software: 3 months or so after purchase it was failing to open 3/4ths of the time or more. We contacted support, they recommended changing USB ports or using a powered USB hub because they thought it wasn't getting enough power to the solenoid. We tried several different combinations including running it by itself off a Trendnet powered USB hub with no noticeable improvement. Sent the drawer in for RMA but it never improved. 8 months after the initial order, we still rely on the key to open it. Fail Open rates now report 8 times higher than Good Opens. We intend to purchase a better cash drawer from a more reputable source.
