High quality tank and fittings. Spin on install with slight wrench pressure to stop my Superstore water tank from overcoming the blow off-valve. Last tank - different brand - lasted 10 years. This one looks more rugged.

Was quoted 350 dollars to replace by plumber. Ordered from Amazon, watched 3 hours on U-tube on how to install it and did it myself. Total cost $55.

This expansion tank was an easy replacement for one that was waterlogged causing the pressure relief valve to weep most of the time. Two wrenches and thread tape was all I needed for the exchange, but that was after I tested the water pressure and pre-charged the tank to the actual pressure + 4 psi. It’s working fine and I picked it due to its 2-year warranty compared to others with just 1-year.After completing the install I noticed what I hope is a misspelling on the tank label which reads “portable†instead of potable in the Amazon description. That’s just one clue that it’s manufactured in China.

Does the job. Will see about longevity, only a few days old now. No instructions on filling air, came with 23 pounds pressure. Best I can tell is before installing, fill air within a few pounds of home pressure. It was 50 pounds in my case.

A great replacement tank.After getting a plumber's bid for the removal of the old tank and replacement of a new tank - plumber's quoted me $350.00. I decided to tackle the job my self - very easy! Toughest part of the job - old tank removal (basically -loosened the old connection with WD-40 with a few light taps on the connection point - the unit was unthreaded and removed). Installed the new unit with no issues - make sure to check the air pressure of the new tank and fill with air as described within the included manufacturer's instructions. Again - very simple.
