I love it. I got it to better smash split peas in split pea soup . And yeah it works fine. But the thing that has made it forever precious to me is what it does to cat food with gravy but with mammoth clumps of meat supposedly "bits." If you aren't a pet owner you might not get it. However we have 2 cats we brought in that have suspected kidney disease as well as other problems. Getting them to eat steadily can be a challenge. Gravy though is always welcomed. And bits of shredded solid food in amongst the swimming pool of gravy seems to be tolerated. But wringing the canned food out by hand with a fork is disgusting. Wire strainers not much better and just as messy. But the ricer! I put in the smallest holed disc, set the ricer in the cat's clean bowl, spoon part or all of the 3oz can into the ricer and push. The bowl fills immediately with gravy. I set it aside. I take the disc out of the rice. sprinkle some shredded morsels in to the dish and clean out the ricer. No more disgusting mess. Takes almost 0 time. This is probably something else that everybody knew about but me but all the same Thank you thank you thank you!

I had watched a cooking channel show and saw that some of the chefs used ricers for their mashed potatoes. My potatoes always came out a bit lumpy no matter if I mashed them or used a mixer. This ricer is AMAZING! Plus I now use some heavy cream with butter and the potatoes are to die for!

I absolutely love this potato ricer! My toddler refuses to eat clumpy mashed potatoes, but this device makes the creamiest, smoothest mashed potatoes ever. Thanks to it, he eats them without hesitation!

We purchased this potato ricer for my wife. She wanted to make applesauce from crisp upstate NY apples.She was very happy with the performance, the build quality, and the ease of cleaning.
