Shamed they donรขโฌโขt make more stars, because this company is full of them. Every aspect of dealing with them has been professional competent & better. The new Potensic Eve App is amazing! Customer service through a basic message system on the app in online customer service & they solved a major issue for me via text & video. Took them under an hour from the time I initiated the request to have it fully resolved. In my experience, itรขโฌโขs been a DJI world & then everybody else, watch out , this company is coming. LOVE This little guy, he's got attitude, it's fast, nimble, and confident. A little wind does not bother him at all. He just gets louder & yells at it. Wild little thing!!Amazing Mini-Drone. This drone has features found in many way more expensive drones. Love that it doesn't require calibrating every time it takes off or lands AND the batteries support hot-swapping from the drone to the parallel charger. It's deadly accurate on RTH, never misses the landing pad. The camera is awesome! Flying this in sport mode, with the camera in FPV mode, is a truly immersive experience All in All, this is an everyday go to camera drone that you can trust.

I've been flying drones for over five years and I wanted to try camera drone that wasn't DJI. I have heard good things about Potensic. And after trying this drone, I think they solid platform. This review is long, so I will summarize the good and not so good in list form as well as a detailed review. The Good+ Flies amazing well. It is every bit as responsive as a DJI Mini or Mavic+ Great wind resistance+ Keeps the horizon level / has no gimbal tilt problems+ The controller is well designed and built+ Good flight time (around 22 minutes)+ Penetration and range seems good+ Has tracking and follow modes+ Battery is charges via USB CLimitations and Things to Note- Requires a cellphone to run the Potensic Eve App- Requires activation and login- Remote ID functionality not active in the U.S.- The iOS app has a few bugs- Camera settings are limited- Video and photos are oversharpened with too much contrast- The auto exposure algorithm needs improvement; photos sometimes underexposed or overexposed.- This drone has geofencing and might to take off in certain areas- No obstacle avoidance sensors for tracking and follow modes. The CameraThe on this drone isn't bad, and the gimbal keeps the image as steady as a DJI drone. The horizon is always level, which I haven't seen on any consumer drone not made by DJI.However, the Atom 2's automatic exposure algorithm needs to be fixed via a firmware update. It works well on a mostly sunny day, but it can underexpose or overexpose photos and videos in certain conditions. If there are bright white clouds in the sky, the Atom 2 will underexpose the ground. This is true even in the HDR mode. You can fix this in your video editor if the footage wasn't too underexposed. On a sunny day, pointing the camera will result in an overexposed shot. It's also a let down that there are no options to change sharpness and contrast settings. I find that the Atom 2 produces an over-sharpened image in both videos and photos. For photo mode, the JPEG+RAW mode should be used. You will be able to correct the exposure using your favorite Raw processor.Quick Shots, Tracking, and Follow ModesThe Atom 2 includes several familiar quick shot modes such as Pull Away (Dronie,) Rocket, Circle, Spiral, and Boomerang. But it also allows you to track a person or object. You start by putting the drone to around 4 meters above the ground, aim the camera at the person or object, and drag a box around the object. Select follow and press Go to start recording. It does a decent job following, but sometimes the movements are a little bit jerky in the video. It also has trouble when you walk towards the drone. I found the Parallel tracking mode to work very well. It will stay perpendicular to you and follow you. You can even walk towards the drone and it will move back. The spotlight mode also works well. The ControllerThe people who designed it put a lot of thought into it. It feels solid and well built. You can aim the directional antenna to get the best signal to the drone. The battery lasts a long time and the controller will keep your phone charged during use. By default the sticks are configured for Mode 2. You can change it to Mode 1 or customize your controls. It would have been nice if there was a Mode 3 option because having the forward/back and left/right on the left stick is similar to a game controller. I've found that beginners prefer Mode 3.The Potensic Eve AppThe app is very similar to the DJI Fly app. You will be greeted to tutorials and help guides the first time you start fly the drone. However, everything is intuitive and easy to understand. On most phones, UI is laid out well. But some of the elements run into each other on the first gen iPhone SE, which is a small phone. When you first set up the drone and register, you must be connected to a network to download the geofencing data. Also, the app crashes if you try to calibrate the compass when Bluetooth is turned off and your phone is in Airplane mode. The Potensic Eve app has the great attitude and heading indicators that DJI removed from its app years ago. You can also switch to map and satellite view by tapping on the map. It's possible to cache the map before your flight. Just be connected to the network, open the map and satellite views and load up the area where you will be flying. Then switch to Airplane on your phone. The FPV video feed looks nice and doesn't have much lag. I think it is comparable to DJI's Occusync 2.BugsOne problem I encountered is that the Atom 2 does not keep good track of it's altitude. While hovering around 6 feet in the air, it reported that at -10 feet in elevation. I went back to the takeoff position and reported that it was at 8.9 feet under ground level This should not be happening because it has a Lidar sensor on the bottom of the drone. I had to land and take off again so that the elevation would reset. Otherwise, I couldn't get the tracking and AI follow modes to work because of this because they required that I be 4 meters above ground level.OverallThis is a great drone and Potensic has been able to match DJI's flight characteristics. There are only a few bugs, which should be sorted with a firmware update in the future. The camera isn't great, and I think the DJI Mini 4K has better image quality. But the DJI Mini 4k doesn't have any follow or tracking capabilities. If you need or want tracking and follow on a sub 250 gram drone, this would be a good choice.I will keep flying the Atom 2 and post an updated review when a new firmware is released.

I only got a little usage out of this one before I hit it with my car door and sank it in the Everglades. The point is, I have other drones to fly, even more expensive ones. But I will be buying another one right away.It was a nice, stable, easy to fly drone with a good camera & at least decent range & battery life.I recommend the Atom 2 to anybody wanting a well thought out mini that's fun & easy to fly.

My Atom2 has just arrived! And itรขโฌโขs blowing a gale and lashing down as per typical NW UK weatherรขโฌยฆFirst observations:รฐลธโโฌ รขโฌยข Aesthetically, there isnรขโฌโขt much difference between the Atom and the Atom 2รฐลธโยผ รขโฌยข The bag is quite tidy, more compact and a fixed shoulder strap as opposed to the removable one as before.รฐลธโโนรขโฌยข Atom batteries are weighing in at 83.52g whereas Atom2 are 85.44gรขลกโรฏยธย รขโฌยข Atom weighs in at 162.1g Vs the Atom 2 at 160.89gรฐลธลฝยฎ รขโฌยข The controller is HUGE - Atom controller weighs in at 248g whereas the Atom2 controller is double this almost at 423.8g - I think it has neck strap connectors on the bottom - I can see myself investing in one.Itรขโฌโขs charging as we speak and Iรขโฌโขve downloaded the new app - which looks quite tidy..Will revisit to adjust stars if need be!!
