KIT-PCO104 Powder Coating Oven Controller Kit, 240V 30A 7200W
2023 Mar update: this DIY kit is updated to KIT-PCO104.
This is our basic 30A KIT to DIY your control panel for powder coating oven. The PID controller has built-in timer function, so that it can hold set temperature at a certain amount of time and then shut off power; pressing the blue push button momentarily, it will reset the timer and start another batch. During a batch, one can use a manual switch to turn ON or OFF the heater when needed. The alarm buzzer can be used as either temp alarm or finishing alarm; when it goes off, you can mute it with a manual switch. Wiring diagram and other installation files are available after purchase. The included enclosure comes with complete knockouts for installation.
Now we offer the special wiring kit option for this DIY kit. Please check the above option "DIY Kit + Wiring Kit" for the DIY kit with wiring kit. The other option, "DIY Kit Only", doesn't include the wiring kit. For the details for the wiring kit, please see the section below.
This kit includes each of the following:
- 10x8x8" Wall mount enclosure with knockouts (bottom & sides) and a set of hanger.
- Dual-line display PID controller with built-in timer function.
- 40A Solid State Relay and 40A heat sink.
- 2P32A110V DIN Rail mounted contactor for completely cut off element power.
- Mini 2-in-1 Volt and Amp meter for showing system power. Flashing Buzzer for temperature/timer alarm.
- Red, yellow, blue illuminated switches
- Oven temperature probe w/ mounting screw (both sensor and cable are rated for 900F).
- Two 1/2-inch EMT fitting and M28*1.5 Cable gland
- DIN Rail Terminal Block Kit and main power breaker
- Engraved Panel Tags for labeling.

This option includes the controller DIY kit and a set of wiring kit. This wiring kit includes all the wires you need to assemble this DIY kit. All the wires are trimmed, numbered and installed with connectors. Wiring strippers and crimpers are saved. Only basic tools such as screwdrivers and socket wrench are required.
Note: Input power cord (SOOW 10/4) is not included in this wiring kit.
Special Note:
- The control panel is designed for North America 240V AC power line which requires four line power connections (L1, L2, Neutral and Ground), please verify your power supply before purchase.
- This control system is designed for heating element (resistive load) only, not for gas burner or propane heater.
- Input power cord (SOOW 10/4) is not included because each user may have different hook up requirements.
- Heating element is not included.

The kit is well packaged and the components are new, but that's about where the positives end. A total of 9 holes needed to be cut in the box for the basic 240V/30A arrangement, not regular holes either... jig saw, hole saw bits, etc. The wiring diagram leaves something to be desired as wires jump from one page to another without lining up, the "templates" weren't to scale and were printed on both sides of a piece of paper. The dimensions were odd (where's 4/5" on a tape measure?), the kit doesn't include the output switch (mentioned on the last page and on the bottom of the Amazon page, a $12 piece... really? Couldn't include that?) and more. Not for a hobbyist without professional assistance.
