I was glad to see powell peralta still sells the rib bones even though the last time i bought a set was at go skate in san mateo california in the 80’s for my then mini caballero. Now my so. Skates a newer version of the mini caballero and needed some rails so i bought these and popped them on. They look great and this is the 14.5†yellow rails on a mini caballero that measures in at 29†overall length no wheel bite and this size works great.

Exactly what I was looking for, solid construction and not hollowed out, skated well.

These worked great. This has nothing to do with the product but I had to put the rails a little more inward than I wanted. There is quite a but of concave in the board and gave me a little more gap between the board and whatever is being slid on. ( if I set them wider the space between the board and object were pretty limited ( because of the dip in the concave of the board ) and after a little wear it would end up hitting the board most likely causing it to grap while sliding.)

These Red rib rails are bright red and look sick on my Hosoi broad plus make it way easier to hold. Even though I don’t rail grind, these were worth for the ease of side gripping my board now plus the sick looks. Get a set of rails for your broad even if you don’t grind, the ease of carrying it from the side is so clutch, plus matching rails for your board always looks sick!

Modern Rib-Bones are much different than the Powell Rib-Bones I skated in the 1980's. The old Rib-Bones were wider, only had 4 holes in them, and came with Powell "Rat Nuts" t-nuts that were much more secure than tiny wood screws. These are much more narrow, have 5 holes, and are only held in place with wood screws. Luckily I can't rail slide as aggressively as I could 30 years ago, so the strength of the wood screws doesn't seem to be a problem. And I see pro riders like Steve Caballero doing long rock n roll boardslides in cement pools with these rails. So the wood screws must be secure enough. It's also quicker setup and less risk of ruining your deck if you don't have to drill holes for the rail mounting hardware in the deck. I know most people don't even use rails anymore. But I'm an old guy who likes to ride old boards with old setups. So, I still use Rib-Bones, and they still work.

I have only skated them a Few times but the rails seem rugged and like they will hold up well They are slick enough to slide well on metal. I have used on clean coping and a well polished flat rail. They come with wood screws. Of you decide to pre drill use a depth gauge. I drilled one a hair too deep and when I finished tightening the screw it poked out the grip tape a bit.I don't know the appropriate distance for spacing these from the. It seems like you don't want to put them too close and risk blowing out the edge of the board. They look Rad, and elevate the board above the sliding surface or pool coping so your cool graphics and/or stickers look cool longer too.
Great product
