The main drawbacks that I've had with these speakers involve the Bluetooth connectivity. The option is great, but signal stutters if even a couple of items are in between the source and speakers. I have to make sure my phone is within ~15 feet and be cognizant of what might get in the way of the signal. It's best to use another device (like an Alexa) to directly connect to the aux input if you want to play from your phone. The audio quality is good, but not the best. The customization of the bass and treble gives these speakers a crutch to lean on. Volume loud enough for small to medium-size spaces.

First out of the box they were the size expected but had an even better appearance was upscale. They sound great. Full sound. No booming bass but that isn't even possible. Hooked them up easily to 10 in sub, with all provided cables, and it is perfect. Sometimes an item exceeds its expectation, this is definitely one of those.

For their size they really produced a nice, full range of sound. The output power was good for private listening, but not so much for party time. I found the remote to be lacking in positive feedback. Kind of like pressing buttons and waiting for something to happen in order to know where you are. I couldn't get the RCA inputs to work with my TV. I did get Bluetooth to work with my smart phone, although it didn't always connect on the first try. Not much in the way of clear and in depth operational instructions, never did understand the previous and next song buttons. Is that for a mp3's on a usb drive? They really don't say much about it, they kind of assume you already know. All in all, the speakers are a good buy, the hard part is setting them up. Once connected, you are good to go.

I have had better powered speakers, and much better amp and speaker combos, but for the price these are a dependable and decent sounding option. I love the color, and think these will do best as bedroom or small room speakers.

I use these for home office set up with my computer/lap top. The sound is great and I am really happy. Everything you need is in the box and easy to set up. The highs are clear, and the lows sound good for small speakers.

I wasn't really expecting that much from a pair of $69 (with current $20 off coupon) active speakers, heck $69 doesn't even buy a decent pair of passive speakers, but now throw in an amp, Bluetooth, RCA, SPDIF inputs, some kind of DAC, and a preamp into this integrated package and sell it for $69!?!?!Well I was pleasantly surprised by the Daakro Powered Bookshelf Speakers. They advertise them as 2.0 Stereo Active Speakers with 30watts X 2 RMS Near Field Speaker with Bluetooth, RCA, USB, Coaxial, AUX Connection for Turntable, PC, TV and Surround Sound Home Theater. They are more like, maybe, 20watts RMA, and 30watts PEAK.Bluetooth connectivity works great, no issues at all. Setup was easy and they came with better than average instructions. As a "near field" speaker their designed to provide the best experience when closer to the speakers, but these had no issues filling up a small room. It wasn't earth shattering shake the house down audio, but it was enough to listen to music at a reasonable volume. The amp seems decent, as at max volume with the audio source paused, there was no perceivable white noise or anything else audible. The build quality on the speakers seems decent, especially at the price-point and they look nice as well. Not much to complain about for the low entry point.
