After setup (adding oil, gas etc) and few pulls to get it primed, it started right up. Ordered it right before a storm and boy, did it pay off to have it. Ran constantly for 2 1/2 days. Love it

I fired it up and pulled a load. Let all the gas run out. Will fire it up again in 30 days and once a month thereafter. It says that the engine comes with break-in oil and it does not. I hope I haven't damaged the engine by adding oil before break in oil. Instructions say that the oil is included and it's not and states that you are not supposed to add oil until you run the break in oil first, but you can't start the engine without lubricant. The crankcase was bone dry. Kind of confusing.

works really well. I am just a diy guy who works in weird places...so this stays in my truck.

Just received this generator yesterday... I followed all instructions to the tee. Added the necessary fuel; gasoline (87)... It already had oil in it, questionable as to why? however, the manual said out oil provided...I believe the manual says petroleum type which should be used, initially, before starting you use the synthetic type. The generator will not start however. This after 20 plus attempts. A few times it starts up and then quickly shuts down.I want to still believe this was a good choice b4 arriving at a conclusion that i was sold junk..what should I do?Please advise.

I put gas and oil in it and started on second pull. I just got it and have about 4 hours on her. I am super impressed with the weight. I have a larger one that takes two grown men to get in and out of the truck. At 67 I can move this one without waiting for someone to happen by. I feel like I've already gotten my money's worth.
