I bought this hose to use between the dust collector, a planer and some other wood working tools. It works well and stands up to shop life. I have even stepped lightly on them and been able to reform them back to shape again. The internal ribs do collect some dust, but despite the warnings on the internet, I have not noticed a performance loss in dust collection. I shake the hose every week or so to get loosed up the caught dust while the collector is running.

I’ve been using this hose type for years and have had no issues. It adapts well to a lot of applications, especially if you the correct terminal connections. It stays flexible and I’ve never even come close to this hose clogging up, and I put a lot through it with some bigger projects.

4 Stars because it's what I expected and not the hoses fault that my 9 gal Craftsman vac with a new filter is too weak. I would have given 5 starts, but the hose is still a few inches to an entire foot short of the advertised length. I stretched it out and it was close, but it shouldn't need to be pulled that far to reach the advertised length. But I'm still satisfied. I have triple checked each connection and all are secure with no air escaping. The hose material is good bendable quality with the wire inside. I was able to cut the hose with scissors and the wire with a snip. Using adapters, I connected it to my 12" Hitachi miter saw and ran about 8' hose down to my vac where I have a Y adapter attached. Behind the saw I mounted a Powertec Big Gulp dust funnelhood and it too is good quality. The Big Gulp is mounted just behind and below the saw to catch dust as it falls. I built side walls, a back wall and a top to keep dust from spreading out. Incidentally, the top serves very well as a shelf for frequently used pencils and other items I need in close reach at the saw. All works well, but the suction is not enough.Perhaps a smaller diameter hose would help, but I wanted to see inside the hose. Which is why I was able to notice the small handful of saw dust that had gathered in the longer portion of the hose that extends down from the saw. It was drooping down about 3" below the intake of the Y adapter and didn't have enough suction to pull the dust in. But I adjusted the hose to go down with no drooping and that fixed the issue. Proper suction would be better. If I add other devices even with blast gates, I suspect additional power loss. I can't imagine what type of power a 4" hose would require.Changes I'll make:Eventually I'll invest in a proper dust collector with more power.Get a smaller diameter hose (see through won't matter to me now that I know what I need to avoid with the hose placement.)I'll test PVC with spare tubes I have laying around and let you know, but my guess is that I may need better power here as well.

I bought this to add onto my existing 2 1/2†dust collection system. It fits onto existing fittings properly, can be cut with sharp blade and wire cutters, and holds its shape well. Of note, when I bought this it was much cheaper than it is now. At the current price I might have just opted for another 10’ roll of hose.

This is the perfect hose for my drill press. I can bend and move it where I need it and it holds it's shape and stays put. Seems to be holding up fine after being moved around a lot over time. Good Product

My ferrets LOVE this hose! It's long enough to tie into two knots for them to run through and it's tough enough material that they can't destroy it while supervised. They love to chase eachother through it at full speed backwards and forwards. Some of my ferrets can turn around in the tunnel but large or fat ones can't.Because it's almost clear, you can see if there are toys stashed in it or squabbles are happening or if one goes to sleep in it. Super easy to slide ferrets out without hurting them because they hose is so flexible.NOTE: you will definitely want to stretch it out and let it sit out for about a week before you try it with ferrets. It comes with a strong smell, but it goes away with time.

Very nice hose that serves a great purpose, to be able to flex to any angle and suck up the dust. Well worth the price in my opinion.I mainly use it on my drill press and takes care of almost all the dust from drilling. Also tried in on my Scroll Saw and worked just as well there. Thinking I might pick up another soon just for the scroll saw. Even if it gets the fine dust, it's well worth it.Don't know what more to say, it's a simple product. It flexs and extends nicely.Shipped quick and was packaged well. Would buy again. Probably will.
