Using this adapter, I was thinking of making magnetic adapters to connect 4 in hose to my tools, rather than buying one. This connector is well made and nicely fits to the 4 in dust collector hose. I cut it in half and fitted a plywood with magnets attached, so that the adapters can be connected with magnets. Works well and no complains!

This coupling has been working for me for a good couple of years now and the only compliant I have is the price of dust collection parts is very high and when you get the product they are very thin plastic and do not seem very robust at all. It is working and that is what matters but again I am still have some heart burn of the cost of dust collection parts.

It's a great coupler. Just is a very snug fit to get the hose onto. Does still need clamps to hold the hose on though.
