I mean, at the end of the day, it's still just a mass produced, Chinese quality widget with a recognizable brand name sticker and questionable packaging.It's not a Tesla or space shuttle, it's a motor with a squirrel cage in a box - not rocket surgery. It does what it's supposed to do. For that it gets the 3 stars. Where it loses a 4th or 5th star is this: despite the box it came in being intact w/o signs of rough handleing, two of the side edges where the filter goes somehow still needed some gentle reshaping love with a mallet! The other reason is when I turn the unit on, the squirrel cage rhythmically rubs on some other metal part for the first 15-20 seconds until it starts spinning fast enough to not do it anymore. After that, it seems to do a good job of sucking and blowing.

I removed the filter bags to access the styrofoam blocks protecting the fan motor. I removed the support screen screws on one side and notice that the other side was not supported to the cabinet. on further inspection, I noticed that the spot welds to hold the support bar on the opposite side had failed. I now have drill holes in support bar and metal box to add machine screws and locking nuts to attach support bar and then reinstall expanded metal screen that supports filter bags. I view this as a quality control issue that failed. Not a life and death event, just a PITA.

Purchased to use with laser engraver and roll out to workshop when needed.Package had some tears but no marks or dents on machine. After spending time to get the shipping blocks out. Hooked up and runs great quite then I expected. Does great to get the smoke out.Update. I received replacement after the 1st one stopped working correctly. issue is i was charged for the replacement and have not received a refund yet.

Got the AF1045 10 days ago. Remote didn’t work. Called the company as I didn’t want to have to repackage it and send this back. They told me they would send a new remote and circuit board.Still waiting. Not happy.

The product was damage from the side corner when it arrived! Didn’t want to return it because I was in an emergency to use it! But over all the product works great for the price!
