Purchased these to use for a tree collar I was building. Brackets arrived with all required hardware and worked perfectly for the tree collar project. The brackets are well made and should work well for any light duty projects.

Using this hardware for bed frame/bed rails support. Easily installed. Take your measurements, drill some pilot holes, and install the brackets. It's that easy.

When I received the product, I was skeptical about it. The metal is thin. It may work with beds that are not very heavy. I have a heavy one made from solid hardwood. I was thinking to return the product, but I didn't. I gave it a try. Surprisingly, it worked quite well. The assembled bed is sturdy. At least so far it is. I gave four stars instead of five because I hope the metal could be a bit thicker to give more confidence for long time use.

I'm giving it one star only because of they sent me 4 of the hook part brackets, but three of the left side, and only one of the right. I had set the package away until I had time to install them and then I take my bed apart only to find out it was missing one correct side of the hook part. Too late to return. Other then that they seem sturdy and would have fixed my bed, except I was unsure of the .5 "gap" it creates because the female part sits on the outside of the frame, unlike the original inset hooks. I was going to just cut a small piece of oak and pop it in to hide the gap, but then realized that if you screw the hook side bracket to the post, and put the other Female one on the rail, it will be flush. Just traditionally the hooks are on rails, so its an unusual install, or at least would have been! Need bed done today so had to go buy expensive L brackets.

Easy to install. Directions easily understood. I used differently than intended. There are four male brackets, two stamped “1†and two stamped “2â€. It is intended that a “1†and “2†be used on opposite ends of the same bed rail. I used both of the brackets stamped “1†on the same rail and both stamped “2†on the other rail. I added 1/4†aluminum trim to the rail lengthwise. This allowed me to attach the rails to the headboard and to give them stability by using the aluminum trim to attach the rails to the bed’s standard angle iron rails. Instead of using a footboard, I was able to create a floating foot rail look. All made possible by using both of the stamped “1†brackets on same rail and “2†on other rail. Hope this is understandable. If you’re interested in doing this, then this review should be helpful.

I did not like these brackets.. I sent them back. They were very confusing to use.

The product idea is great and so far the quality seems decent as well! I personally didn’t use the added screws as I thought they were a bit cheap and I didn’t want them to be a failing point. I used 2 inch and 2 1/2 decking screws instead as my project could handle the larger screws. I just wanted to go a bit overkill so that I knew that these brackets or screws would never come loose.Very easy and simple to install! Can easily take the bed apart now for if it needs to be moved!

Pretty light gauge metal. Plenty of screws though.

These brackets are sturdy and they don't take much room. I used these on a king size headboard and footboard that I built. I needed brackets that would install on the inside of the rail and be as close to the inside edge of the post as possible. These were perfect with only 1/16th of a reveal.

Yes they have to be precise on install, not difficult with some patience and a level to use for alignment on the edge of your rail. However they remain too loose, since they’re installed they’ll help with alignment now until I use headlok’s or similar to strengthen the frame up.I generally use a mortise and tenon joint and I honestly should have done the same on this frame. I tried to save myself a few hours of work and now it’s costing me. Live and learn!- Debarked Designs
