I bought this to replace the one which came with my house and had fallen apart internally, alowing water to flow back thru the heck valve, allowing the chlorine to rot out the guts of the heater. Thankfully due to the design of this, rather than having to do major plumbing work, i was able to just unscrew and remove the old check valve, and screw in the new one. Can’t beat that ! A huge wallet saver.

This was the easiest repair ever! I just loosened up the old one, slid it out. Put the correct spring in the new check valve, ( it comes with 3 different strength springs). Mine needed 2lb. I then slid the new one in place, works great. The spa no longer drains down to pool level when pump's not on.
