We bought a used clarinet but it didnt come with a ligature and for sanitary reasons we wanted a new mouth piece. The music store wanted over $30 for each piece! Im glad i was able to find this. My daughter says it works perfectly fine and notices no difference what so ever.

My daughter is a first year student and was so happy after her Christmas Concert, that she was playing with her clarinet and let it tip over breaking the mouthpiece. This was my introduction into the wide world of mouthpieces. I researched for hours learning that mouthpieces are made differently for different playing levels and such. I chose the SelmerPrimo P2Kit by the reviews, pricing, and I liked that it came with a cap and a ligature I knew would fit the mouthpiece correctly. My daughter now has less squeaks while playing which is music to my ears.

The picture shows Primo while the one received says Prelude (see image). To be honest, I suspect it is the same thing and just updated version labeling (kit number is the same). Quick look online shows few marked with prelude but being that is the name of one of their student models, it is safe to assume it is the same quality. In any case my son tried it on his older Bundy clarinet and it worked fine.

It came chipped. It’s impossible not to have an airy tone if a mouthpiece is chipped.

This is a student mouthpiece. I got it for college marching band, as it is too dangerous outside for my concert stuff. It's a little closed; I need to use a lot more air, which is troublesome because I'm also moving quickly. It works alright, and the price is right!
