The Premier brand FL-3000 access door is lightweight and can be used in walls or ceilings. Perfect for residential or commercial applications. The steel door panel is removable giving you easy access to plumbing or wiring.
The rough opening in the wall should be 18-3/8" x 18-3/8".
Access panel comes pre-finished in white baked on enamel paint. Can be easily field painted if needed.

This is the second one I’ve purchased from them. Good quality, easy to install. Looks good.The only suggestion would be that they include a template to make it easier to cut.

Purchased two similar doors from the Improvement chains and each had their issues. Another here on Amazon and it was... Well not worth the time it took to order it.This has fantastic tolerances, HEAVY, a removable door, and a locking mechanism. Seems like a short list yet very hard to actually do right. Going to purchase several others now that I know its this well done.

The photos for this panel show mounting tabs on the sides of the frame where the hinge and key latch are located. The panel I received had the tabs attached to the top and bottom. This mounting orientation would not work in my application. Rotating the door 90 degrees in the frame seemed like an option since there were pre-cut holes for the hinge but there was no place for the lock to engage except in the as-built location. I drilled out the metal that held the mounting tabs and used screws to re-attached the tabs in the places I expected them to be. It worked great after that.

Came packaged very well with paint perfect. Nice sturdy door that should last for an access panel. I like that the door is removable from the frame for when I have to crawl through to do work. And it’s not plastic so I’m not concerned with breaking it crawling in.

It is easy to install as long as you have the right size hole. We were doing some new ceiling construction, so it was very easy. I would highly recommend.

Used this to finish up an access hole I cut in the downstairs bathroom to access plumbing for two bathrooms. This panel is great because the trim is really low profile and barely taller than the drywall, which really allowed me some flexibility in where I was able to install. The ability to easily remove the door from the spring hinge is a huge benefit, too!

The size matches the description. It opens easily and works just as it should. It looks expensive and exactly like the pictures.
