My kid lost the battery clamp for her car, so I purchased this battery clamp for her 2011 Ford Escape. Ours arrived in good shape, and the battery clamp seems sufficiently well made and sturdy for the job. I purchased the clamp with the long J bolts; I could cut the bolts if I needed to. The bolts are indeed long, about an inch longer than they need to be, but the hood arches well over the bolts, so we did not need to cut the bolts. The clamp also arches quite a bit, and the wing nut sticks up even higher, so clearly it will not fit well on some if not many cars. It works well in this application, is well enough made and sturdy, and inexpensive. I am satisfied with this purchase.

Battery when kaput on my 2015 Chevrolet Spark. Factory battery is expensive and kinda hard to find. The 26R battery is available almost everywhere, and MUCH cheaper.But there is always a catch! The 26R will fit, BUT the original batter hold-down will not work safely. But this adjustable hold down works like a charm. Easy to install, and well made.This should fit US Chevy Spark Up to the 2015 Model year. Gas Powered

Product is strong and sturdy. Quick Amazon Prime delivery.Bought a new battery for my Kawasaki Mule ATV Side By Sid. The new battery was a little taller than the original, so the original hold down assembly was a little short.I measured my new battery then ordered this product expecting to have a extra 3/4 or 1 inch of thread left over above nuts. Turned out the rods were a little shorter than I expected but in my case turned out to be a perfect fit.

The battery holder worked well for my application. Tiedown rods were longer than quoted, but still worked well.

This battery hold down is nice but the J hooks were only 9". The description indicates that they're 10" J hooks. Overall is a good replacement but you'll have to improvise if the hooks you get are 9 inches.
