This belt was for my son's car which he had already purchased a water pump belt kit for that had it's own belt included. I had previously seen a Gates belt that would fit his car and felt that the Gates was superior in appearance. The gates fit the teeth in the sprockets nice and tight with no slop because of a little beefier belt lugs or teeth. I'm not saying it's better because only time and mileage will tell but it's overall design and appearance looks better.

I've always followed the Gates brand, specifically for belts and pulleys. They have never let me down and i have always had perfectly looking products out of the box. Even my last timing belt looks brand new, also a Gates, after 5+ years. Thankfully I have not been let down and the only way you would be would be through a failure or a poor looking product.
