I really like these bobbin cases. I hesitated ordering because I order bobbins for my machine that most of the time come in their own plastic cases. What I've found though, is that I tend to leave the case open when I'm sewing so I can easily grab a new bobbin when one runs out. With all the stuff I have around my sewing machine, the lid does not lay flat on the table and is easily bumped around. When that happens with my old bobbin case, at least one or 2 bobbins will fly out behind the machine or onto to the floor. With these cases, they stay secure, which saves me time and the aggravation of tracking down a missing bobbin. I work from home - sewing, so time is money and every second wasted, means I'm earning less for each product completed. The secure grip of the foam does not impede your ability to easily grab a bobbin. The spacing between the bobbins is such that even a blind grab for a bobbin won't cause any nearby bobbins to pop out of their spot. Prior to this, I've used the silicone rings that, that while they do hold the bobbins securely, if if you grab a bobbin quickly, you can easily knock off the next bobbin on the ring. For me these cases are a great investment. They are a bit pricey for a plastic case, but the foam insert makes it worth the money. I load up one case full of black thread and the other with gray thread, then I start sewing, It takes me a few days to go through both cases of thread - I sew for about 8 hours a day and my work requires only gray or black thread. These cases do get a workout and are holding up well so far. Not sure how the foam will hold up in the long run, but I'll post if they fall apart fast. Hope these last a long, long time.

These two bobbin cases are nicely made and hold the class 15 bobbins snugly so the thread doesn't unwind and make a mess. Both my plastic and metal bobbins (for different machines) fit into the slots.Class 15 bobbins are the usual bobbins for home sewing machines. However, there are also slightly larger "L" bobbins and much larger "M" bobbins which tend to be used in specialty sewing machines and these larger bobbins will NOT fit into the spaces in the foam. The slots in the semi-rigid foam are cut to fit the class 15 bobbins perfectly.I like having the foam hold the bobbins snugly because it means I can carefully wind up the thread tail before placing a bobbin into this holder and it will stay wound up. No more messy thread ends to deal with as I select a new bobbin. There is a small slot on each end of the foam insert whose purpose isn't described in the listing. I found it works to hold a needle threader, as shown in my photos. That's handy. The slotted foam insert and the thin foam base are removeable if desired and I can then use the sturdy plastic case for other notions such as small rulers, needles, markers, or thread snips.

I have a plastic bobbin case with no foam so the bobbins easily spin and the thread unwinds. Also, the top doesn't snap onto the case so it becomes an unraveling thread mess when that gets knocked over and the bobbins fall out. After being aggravated with that I bought some of those bobbin holders that stick into the spool of thread and, in theory, should keep the bobbin thread from unwinding. Those didn't work for me either as the holders kept falling off the spool or the bobbin wouldn't stay put. These cases are the best I've tried to date. The bobbins fit snuggly into their little bobbin hole and they don't spin which should help keep the thread from unwinding as well. The snap closure is tight so there if I should drop it I don't have to worry about bobbins rolling around leaving a wake of unwound thread. I'll probably never fill them both but, for the number of total bobbins these 2 boxes can store, I think the price is well worth it.

I actually like these. They work pretty well, especially since the bobbins have a tendency to unwind immediately after taking them out of their packaging when you get pre-wound bobbins. I think I'm probably going to need like another two to four of these for all the different color variations that are probably I'm going to carry in the future. They're definitely worth their weight in gold.I appreciate at the bottom of him even has a separate foam piece to make sure that the bobbin isn't sitting directly on the plastic blow to help cushion them.I don't really understand what the side little cut pieces is for. I might have to refer back to the description of the item to see what those are about cuz I didn't really get that. (It's been a week since I saw the listing.)Anyways, it says that these are made in Canada. Oh wait! No, it says that they're made in Taiwan and they're a Canadian brand.

I love these little bobbin storage boxes. They are exactly as described.I chose the ones with the gray inserts which are die cut for standard chrome sewing machine bobbins (with the little holes around them). They are clear but slightly opaque because the plastic is not the hard brittle type. This type of plastic can withstand being dropped or tossed around without damage. They hold the bobbins securely and the lid stays closed.I also like how, when you roll your thread tail around and push the bobbin into it’s space, it doesn’t shift around and the thread tails stay put. Great feature to keep thing neat and untangled. The inserts can be easily removed and the boxes used for other items such as seam rippers, tailors chalk or measuring tapes, for example. The uses are endless, really. The size is perfect, too. They are flat enough that they can be easily stored in a drawer or sewing box. Bobbins are easily visible through the box.I’m so pleased with these and I think they were a good value b/c I see them lasting a long time.

My current bobbin case is a mess. The bobbins jiggle around, the thread unwinds, the thread trails outside the box... I'm very pleased to say my problems have been solved! These cases keep bobbins snug so they don't move around. I'm pleased for what it does to keep my sewing stash that much neater. Here are some pleasant observations about the product:* The interior is high density foam, so it is soft but keeps its shape well. At either end of the foam are indentations that I think would work for storing machine needles? Pretty cool.* The foam comes out easily (not attached at all), so you could easily repurpose the box to store other notions.* The corners are rounded, the clasp is not too tight / not too loose, and the plastic case is a good weight.* The foam colours are cute. My photos don't do it justice.

I got this for my wife who is an avid sewerWhat she likes:- she love how she can easily see the thread colours on the bobbin in this case- The bobbins are protected which will keep them from breaking- Prior to this case, she stored thread in a zip bag and a couple of bobbins broke.- The threads can be tucked in with the bobbin so they are not hanging out.- It's a simple but very effective design- She says this is one of those must haves for anyone who sewsVery happy with these shoes

I really like these bobbin cases. I already own one small case that I've been using, which is made of hard plastic and the bobbins have a tendency to unroll themselves. I have threads sticking out all over and I'm constantly having to reroll them and tuck the ends in. One thing I love about these cases is that the foam keeps all the thread in place -- the bobbins fit in snuggly and threads are also secured. The transparent lid makes it easy to see which bobbin you want to pull out and the lid snaps closes easily and securely. The material seems to be of good quality, which means it's likely to stand up to some wear and tear.Overall, this one is a winner!
