They are all made from natural cork, with no synthetics. All corks are sorted to provide a nice variety.

I ordered too late for my Christmas project/gifts, and had not read the reviews until now about some people being shorted. I just counted the two bags I ordered. The first bag contained 259 corks (no synthetics, none broken, but all different sizes if you are looking for same sizes). The second bag contained 251 real corks, 2 synthetics, 1 champagne cork, and two broken ones which are unusable. In both bags, I have about 10% plain unused corks with no name brand. I won’t use these for my gifts.I would order again, but hopefully the Seller will practice a bit more Quality Control for repeat business (synthetics, broken, and plain corks are very easy to spot). It sounds like either I am lucky, or they have chosen someone who did a good job counting and threw in a few extras to make up for the bad ones.I’m looking forward to beginning my project which will require me to do a bit of shaping, which I expected to do. No two corks are alike unless they are the same name brand. Hope this helps.

I used these corks to make a backer board for my dart board. But the seller advertised "no synthetic corks or champagne corks" I found several synthetic corks in the mix along with two champagne corks. I still had plenty to finish the project, but they need to be a little mor diligent sorting the corks if they are going to advertise "no synthetic corks or champagne corks".

First of all, loving that someone is gathering up wine corks and recycling! Saving the environment while at the same time, providing valuable items for crafters! These corks are terrific. There were a couple that were a little too beat up or torn up to use from simply pulling them out of the bottle with the cork remover, but overall, they are in great shape, there is a large enough quantity to create plenty of one item in a craft project. My first craft project with the corks is attached and I had the best time creating the little cork pumpkins. I cannot wait to make more projects with these and I will be back to purchase more and more!

These were the perfect assortment for Christmas projects this year. I used them to make dartboard backing boards for myself and my adult kids. I bought 750 corks in total. I cut them in half with a bandsaw and was able to make these backboards. Each backboard needed approximately 400 half-corks.

Nowhere near 250 count it's advertised as being (my bag had 197, including the broken corks, synthetic corks and cork pieces even). The picture is of the first few I found, there were more. Which means now I need to buy more corks for my dart board cabinet that I thought would be done with this bag :(
