Worked well for rekeying several Schlage door knobs and deadbolts. Very easy to use. The only complaint is with the clip removal tool. It was too thick to push the clip off of the locks. The clip sits between two ridges just proud of the shaft. The clip removal tool has to fit between these two ridges to be able to push the clip off of the shaft. I thinned the tool on each side on a slow grinder and it then worked great.

The product is well equipped. The product could use an easier to use nut pin key, but I as able to rework several locks no problem.

This is a great set that has everything you need for Schlage locks if you don't have a kit together.The follower is standard sized so it confuses people. It is not meant to fit over the Schlage cylinder, the notches are for a different type of lock that has a keyway for it. For schlage you use the flat side and just follow the cylinder through.Schlage is the trickiest when using the follower, which is why this kit would be better if it included some shims. That helps with the small lip that you see on the knob cylinder. You can do this without shims though. If you are doing a knob it can be a bit finicky without a shim, but if you mess up the knob is easier to fix than the deadbolt because you can remove the spring shield and replace it quite easy.If you don't know what you are doing, what youtube videos and lookup the schlage document for rekeying. If you are buying this and don't have shims, consider getting some thin metal shims .001 .002 .003 inches thick, that sort of thing, especially if working on knobs or levers.

The kit came three days earlier than projected, a big bonus! Worked quite well -- as a first-time novice I was able to re-pin three deadbolts in an hour. Had watched YouTube videos before ordering the kit to be sure I was familiar with the complexity of the project and was very careful keep all parts secure. (Had twice ordered deadbolts for a renovation project but neither set was keyed to the requested code to match other home locks. Kept second set once it appeared possible to re-pin at home.) As other reviewers have noted, this kit is missing a key gauge and a wire tool (noted in videos) to depress the lock pin. Although it looks like the end of the Clip Removal Tool may have worked for this, I used a straightened paper clip instead. As also noted, the Follower doesn't work well in the Schlage lock. I utilized the shaft of a 7 in 1 screwdriver being very careful to keep pressure exerted inside the chamber and against the cylinder as I removed it and re-inserted it. Would strongly encourage familiarization via YouTube videos if this is a first time attempt as well as having the video(s) available during the process. Overall, very happy with the kit and the newly acquired skill set.

I got it to rekey some locks at work and everything went great. Not a professional so my first round I had to drop one size for one pin, but made a note of that and all the subsequent locks went great.

This kit is minimally capable, it has pins and springs and the sizes are indicated on their little baggies. But it doesn't include a key gauge to read the cuts in the key so you need to either know the pin sizes (numbers from an original key) or have a good caliper and be able to measure your key and then translate to pin lengths. Doesn't include tweezers for handling pins (esp. if you let the top pins fly out).Case is junk, came with a broken latch and doesn't close properly. I have it rubber banded shut.I did manage to rekey my lock (a Schlage BE365 Keypad Deadbolt) using this kit so it did work for me. Just beware that it doesn't include everything...

I cannot recommend this Schlage rekeying kit. The kit came with a cheap plastic box that didn’t secure the pins properly, making it difficult to store them without losing track of the pieces. When I attempted to use the pins on my locks, they didn’t fit correctly, and I had to apply excessive force to get them to stay in place, which felt wrong. The instructions were unclear and left me uncertain about how to properly use the kit, especially with so many parts included. I was hoping to rekey my locks quickly, but this kit just caused confusion and wasted a lot of time. The pins weren’t as high quality as I expected, and some of them didn’t lock properly, meaning I had to redo the process several times. I eventually gave up on using this kit because it was more trouble than it was worth. If you need to rekey locks, I would suggest hiring a professional locksmith or investing in a more reliable tool. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
