I actually ordered this shammy to dry my dog after a bath. It is amazing! cuts dry time in half.Simply lay it on your dog and add light pressure, soaking up the water- ring it out and move to different part of the body, ring it out and repeat. You will see that your dogs coat is already drying. When done just fold it back up the way it came and put back in it's container. After a few uses it started to smell like mildew so I simply washed it and let it dry completely then wet it, wring it out and put back in canister smelling fresh again.

for the first use, I was not impressed, it seemed to require a fair amount of wringing out and at first didn't absorb well. However after several uses, it now performs quite well for absorbency and is fairly easy to clean. The plastic storage container is also a plus. There may be better shammy cloths out there but this one performs quite well.
