Sturdy and beautifully colored. Definitely made from metal (steel). Was able to drill a larger hole in the metal ball in order to insert toggle bolt for attaching to outdoor trellis.

This purple gazing ball is beautiful. It’s made of metal and will not break like glass gazing balls. The gazing ball attracts butterflies and bees for my garden.

Am very pleased with my purchase and the delivery of the 8 inch bright deep purple gazing ball/globe. From a different company I'd ordered something similar, which stated it was purple, but when it arrived, it was actually Maroon. I bought these globes for a birthday gift for someone who does NOT like Maroon - LOVES DEEP PURPLE. I know she is going to like this globe a lot. It arrived packaged safely.

The balls look great. I ordered three. They packed them in a large box with NO PACKING MATERIALS. They bounced around and got dented. Returned.
