They'll need sharpening for the kind of work I do, but they're really sturdy and there are a lot of interesting and useful shapes in the set. This would be an excellent set for working in polymer clay or regular clay.

These metal wax tools work well for sculpting details on oil clay as well as ceramic clay. I will be able to use them on dried clay as well to remove any small nubs that may remain before firing. So far I've mostly used the skinny hook tool to clean up my work in the hard to reach areas. But on my next piece with a portrait, the other tools will also come in handy. Plus, I like that the set comes in a foldable see-through pouch. It keeps them organized and makes it easy to find the tool I want.

These are good entry level tools but they could be sharper for use on wax. I imagine these would be great for soap carving.

I've had so many tools that are either to short, crappy construction or just don't work but these work like a charm. My trade might not be the trade these were meant for but I assure you you can carve any wax statue you want with these, that's if you have enough wax for a statue. Will order again once I lose them to people stealing my tools because they are so cool.

I haven’t used them yet but they arrived nicely packaged and they look great! Look well made. I’ll update this once I use them but for now I’m happy with the purchase… better than expected.

I was blown away with the quality of the tools. I bought the set for carving on my pottery. I am excited to use them all to see what each will do. I have already passed along to my fellow potters pictures of my new tools. I highly recommend. I definitely would buy them again.

Why have a 12 piece set when many of the tools have an end that is similar if not identical to each other? Just make it a smaller set. Tool quality is on par with price. Good enough for a one off project, but if you are going to be using them daily, you'll want something a little more carefully made.
