This is the first cookie scoop I've used that I actually like. It releases the cookie dough cleanly and is comfortable to use. It really cut down on the time it took to form the cookie dough balls compared to doing it by hand. Also the results were consistently sized cookies. This scoop makes large cookies. About 5 inches with my peanut butter cookie recipe.

I previously had the exact same scoop and it worked perfectly for 2 years before it broke. This scoop works well but the inner piece of metal that moves back and forth is a little too far out so it makes a slightly odd shape instead of a round like my previous one did. Even so, I would still recommend Prep Solutions by Progressive Measuring Scoop because it saves a ton of time and is super easy to use.I wouldn't recommend using on any dough that is extremely tough or straight out of the fridge after an overnight chill since the scoop can break if put under too much pressure.

This is a great scoop for making uniform big cookies. Or it's the perfect size for sorbet or gelato. The spring action is smooth. The rubber grip is sturdy. Cleans up well in dishwasher.

I am a home baker and use cookie scoops nearly every day. This is the first scoop I have used that: can handle thick doughs, doesn't get jammed, and is easy to hold. My only complaint is that 3 TBS is their biggest size. Highly recommend.

I bought this to use as a smaller cookie scoop for Christmas baking. I used it for the first time today with a stiffer dough that had been refrigerated and the scoop broke! I tried resetting, etc but the metal piece on the inside no longer would scoop out the dough rendering the scoop totally useless. I'd return it except I purchased this two months ago so it's too late. I gave it 3/5 stars for ease of use for the first 5 cookie balls that came out of the scoop. Cleaning also 3/5 as i'm sure it will clean okay with hot water and soap, but I'll have to move the lever inside manually to clean under it. Sturdyness? I expect more from a kitchen tool than 5 cookie balls.

So lately I wanted to buy my first cookie scoop! I didn’t have to compare so much between different brands to figure which would be the perfect one. This cookie scoop from prep solutions is simply wonderful and sturdy. I made a first batch of cookies which I had to refrigerate prior of scooping them. Wow! and since the dough was quite sticky I noticed how easy the scoop was releasing it! I was much impressed by it also because of the beautiful uniformity of the cookies. Anyways, get it you will not be deceived and it cleans very well!

Has worked so far on everything from hard frozen ice cream, chocolate chip cookie dough from the fridge. Fits my hand comfortably and pops out whatever I'm scooping usually on the 1st squeeze. Over all I'm very happy with this product.

This is terrific! My hands are arthritic and I found that this Progressive Quick Release Cookie Scoop was easy and quick for me to use while making my deviled eggs. It was light in my hand and not awkward. I am looking forward to using this Cookie Scoop when I make my chocolate macaroons. I have small hands, this Cookie Scoop fitted in my hands without any issues. For me this product is a sturdy and was a very good purchase.
