This review is for the HEYLACOOLX Presentation Clicker PPT. The product includes the remote, a USB receiver with both USB-A and USB-C connections, a separate flash drive that contains the operating software and a user manual, and a hard copy set of instructions. The USB receiver can be conveniently stored inside the battery compartment on the back of the remote. Two AAA batteries are required but not included.The controls are as depicted in the product description. The instructions provide additional guidance for use. It only took me a little bit of practice to become accustomed to the controls and features. One feature I especially appreciate is the dedicated on/off button on the side of the remote. Too often I've been left with a dead battery by other remotes that use "soft" buttons to turn the power on and off. When this remote is turned off, you can be sure it's off.I also like the red dot that simulates a laser pointer. This is especially useful when presenting on an LED screen (such screens are not compatible with laser pointers). The dot responds smoothly to the movement of the remote.My only minor criticism of this product is that the remote will absolutely not work unless the application provided on the included flash drive is loaded onto the computer first. (My experience with other remotes is that the computer will automatically load the correct drivers as soon as the receiver is plugged in. That is not the case with this remote.) Although the software takes less than a minute to install on most machines, this isn't something you want to have to do at the very beginning of a presentation. Also, the soft version of the user manual immediately pops up on the screen as soon as the application is loaded. This is also a bit awkward if you're trying to get a presentation underway. Lesson learned: load the software on the machine you'll be using well in advance of the presentation if at all possible. Finally, the remote is worthless without the software application, so don't lose the flash drive (or make extra copies of the software just in case.)

Pros:I tested with my Macbook Pro, an M4 Mini, and a Lenovo Thinkpad P53 and it worked as expected with all of them, and no need to install the drivers / software that it came with. For better or worse (maybe I am too paranoid) I just prefer not to install provided software unless I have to.I really only use it to go in and out of presenter mode and move slides forward / back. I appreciate the on/off button, but will see how well it does over time.Cons:It's all plastic and doesn't feel too high-quality. The aforementioned on/off button feels pretty tenuous, and the battery compartment cover doesn't strike me as something that will be attached two years down the road (I am open to being proven wrong, however).Overall:I think it is just fine for what I need. If you are someone presenting 100 times a year, I am sure that you have something more robust than this.As someone who presents once a month, this works just fine. I would expect to get 2-3 years out of it, and I can't ask for much more given the price.

I've been eyeing these things for ages, always thinking, "Man, that would make my training sessions so much smoother." But, you know how life goes and I kept putting it off. Well, I finally bit the bullet and grabbed the HEYLACOOLX Presentation Clicker, and let me tell you, I should have gotten one a lot sooner.Easy to set up and use. Its plug-and-play easy. I was worried it would be some techy ordeal, but nope, just plugged the little USB receiver into my laptop, and boom, it worked! The buttons are nice and responsive, too. No lag, no weird delays, just click and you're on to the next slide.I am able to walk around the room during the training, which really helped me engage with everyone and not feel stuck behind the podium. Plus, the built-in laser pointer helps me zero in on specific or important details in my slides.But the best part is that I am no longer chained to a podium at the front of the room. No going back and forth if someone needs help at their desk or asking someone to change slides for me. I could focus on the lesson which I believe is why the passing success rate is higher.Seriously, if you're someone who gives presentations, whether it's for work, school, or anything else, do yourself a favor and get the HEYLACOOLX. It's affordable, easy to use, and it makes a huge difference. You'll wonder how you ever presented without it! I am definitely a happy customer.

I’m absolutely thrilled with my new presentation clicker! It’s not just about flipping through slides—it's got this amazing spotlight feature and a magnify option that I didn’t even know I needed until I used it! Now, I can't imagine presenting without it; it’s really spoiled me! I initially tried it on my personal computer (which connected immediately) and then took it to work. I was a bit worried about whether all the extra features would work due to my company’s security setup. But luckily, everything worked perfectly after I plugged in the silver flash drive once! I walk around a lot as I present but didn't have any problems with being out of range, it stayed connected the entire time. I’m just so happy with it! My only wish is that it came with a handy carrying case.
