Some of the best sounding speakers I've ever used. Crazy clear highs, lots of power. There is a little muddiness in the 200-400hz range but it is easy to EQ out.

This box is a little bit bigger than the EV ZLX 15P I currently have. Now I will admit after a side by side comparison, the EV's are cleaner and clearer. They're known to be one of the best sounding 15-inch speakers in this price range. In fact, with all settings at zero, the EVs push a bit more and are louder. Go past zero and they get loud.........much louder than the ZLX. From what I gather, the Air-15 left a lot of room to 'open' up the raw power of this speaker. The amp did stay cool enough i could put my hand on it...for a while. It did get warm though. Love the tilt feature. Yes...it's pretty light. The digital presets are easy to figure out. N.B. if you play around with the settings and want to keep them, you will have to SAVE THEM. Exiting without saving the settings will put you back to what you had previously. All in all....a very good speaker, easy to operate, clean enough sound and surprisingly loud. It deserves a look, listen or maybe even a purchase.

it arrived after being advertisied at 137db but in its documents it mentions 129db , i knew it was bad when i saw the thin power cable, always a bad sign on speakers. `It does not play, tried to send it back but could not get through that it would take at least 3 weeks before it arrives so now stuck with a heavy lump pos.

we own 4 DJ setups, 3 with Yamaha's and one with Presonus 12's. First of all, you can pick these up, they only weigh 38 pounds. Second, their continuous power output is the same as Yamaha's 2000 watt option. Third, they have the flattest performance curve of them so even at low back ground music outputs they are crystal clear with all the bass notes. My thoughts on why there are not more of these in use: mainly because they launched into the market at $750 each. Now for $599, it's a no brainer.

Can't get rid of "His." As soon as it's plugged in it hisses. It's not my gear or a ground, because I've tried using ground lifts, plugged it in at 3 completely different buildings, I've tried everything I can think of to eliminate any possibility of the problem being anything but the unit itself. My gear doesn't his through my house sound system when plugged in directly or through any of my other amplifiers (I use a Line 6 Variax and POD HD 500x). With nothing at all plugged in, and channel 2 turned all the way down, channel 1 with nothing but a mic turned to "0" it hisses.I want to be impressed with this based on how much I spent on it, but I'll be trying to sell it to find something a little more clear if the manufacturer doesn't help me fix the problem. If you're fine with annoying white noise coming from your overpriced powered monitor, this will work just fine.
