Best sub for mixing

I bought this to add to my Presonus Eris 3.5 Monitors and at first, the sub was excessively boomy and overpowering. After reading the paperwork (quite awkward as it mixed all the language it covered together in each section), I found they were talking about HPF and Frequency Response Range needing to be calibrated and balanced, so I started researching the Monitors to find their limitations. What I found was that most monitors tend to max out at about 80 Hz and the Presonus 3.5 actually went all the way up to 100 Hz. So I flipped the HPF on and set the limiter to 100 Hz, then boom! The sub was perfectly complimenting the Monitors and all that was left to do was to tweak the treble for more clarity on the vocals.Anyway, if you're rating this low, you should probably read the manual as there are a lot of tips in there and on the PreSonus website.
