Great assortment of aluminum riv-nuts. These are metric, which I did not have any of, so it will round out my hardware drawer.I verified all with a thread gauge, to make sure they are all course metric threads. They were, which means the thread sizes are:M3-.5M4-.7M5-.8M6-1.0M8-1.25 (not1.0)M10-1.5 (not 1.0 or 1.25)I pulled one into some scrap aluminum and it crushed well and fully formed into the hole. No spinning and seemed pretty heavy duty.Could not find a spec for what grip range they are able to accommodate, though. My unofficial eyeball says the smaller should be able to do up to .060 with no issues and the larger can easily go to .125 angle/tube/sheet. If you need to do anything thicker, it may be hit or miss if they would pull and seat properly. I'll cross that bridge if/when I need to, since I didn't have any scrap handle to try them.Be sure to note that you want to use the same material for you riv-nut and the metal you will be installing them in. It is not recommended to use aluminum riv-nuts in steel. This would create an issue with galvanic corrosion over time. But if you need to get riv-nuts into aluminum, the seem to be a great choice.

I discovered Rivnuts on a recent project and wanted to pick up some aluminum ones for an automotive application. These were perfect for plugging a few self-tapper holes the previous owner put in the roof of the vehicle. I drilled out the holes, installed these rivnuts with some clear RTV, and the roof was back to being watertight. This kit is a great value and the aluminum rivnuts are very easy to install. Follow the info in the listing when drilling out the holes and you'll be fine. These are plenty of sizes for a variety of applications, I used the M5 size for my first project. Great quality product, highly recommend!

With the few I've had to use so far, they worked, and worked well enough. Haven't had any issues with the rivnuts breaking, but I'll definitely update this if I see that occurring.Make sure not to compress them too quickly, as aluminum doesn't like quick deformation, as it creates a lot of heat. Also make sure to have good straight pulling of the rivnut tool, so you don't torque the nut.
